My recent visit to the Fairmont Banff Springs led me to the Rundle Bar. Situated outside by a communal firepit, we received excellent service. The drinks were all beautifully crafted and tasted amazing. I opted for a gin drink with butterfly pea for a purple hue, mixed with tonic. We also tried a poke bowl, which was quite tasty. The ambiance of the Rundle Bar is truly special. The indoor space is cozy, with soft lighting and bookshelves all around. One night featured a DJ, while another had a piano player. Outside on the terrace, guests can enjoy fire pits and stunning mountain views. I look forward to returning to Rundle Bar for a cocktail class and more delicious drinks in the future.
Best place for high tea or chatting with friends, especially with a million-dollar view of Mt. Rundle!! Our server Amy hails from England, so we knew we were up for a true tradition of High tea at one of the best places known for scenery unmatched anywhere!! We entered the Rundle Bar and caught a glimpse of a floor to ceiling library, which turned out to be a secret door to an epic Speakeasy!! The Fairmont Banff Springs just exudes old world luxury and offers the finest in service, whether for high tea or special events like birthdays, anniversaries, or weddings. We thoroughly enjoyed our tea with the variety of sweet and savory sandwiches and scones and desserts! The view is unrivaled and made for an unforgettable experience! Amy was so knowledgeable about the many teas from around the world and she provided outstanding friendly service!
We had a wonderful afternoon tea experience in Banff. I highly recommend making reservations on Open Table as it fills up quickly. We made our reservation before leaving the United States. Our new friend was able to make a reservation the day before to join us at the Rundle Bar. Be sure to request a table by the window for amazing views of Mt. Rundle. The staff is very accommodating to food allergies and dietary restrictions, confirming them with each guest at the table. Our server, Amy, was knowledgeable about the tea selection and took the time to explain each option. She tailored her recommendations to our preferences, even accommodating specific food allergies. The tea timer was explained based on personal preference for strength. We tried a variety of teas and enjoyed the masala chai, creamy earl grey, fresh market, and ice wine. My favorite was the market fresh tea with strong berry notes and a vibrant color. The Rundle Bar on the second floor was a delightful experience with great views, service, and food. I highly recommend booking afternoon tea or cocktail classes on Open Table, and calling for regular dinner reservations.

We spent several hours in good conversation and environment. A perfect afternoon.
