I sat down for breakfast and was greeted with a smile. My coffee cup was quickly filled and my order was taken promptly by Calla, who was my attentive waitress throughout the entire experience. What Annie B doesn't like about The Evergreen Restaurant & Lounge:
Our hotel along the road didn't offer any dining facilities but we were told we could walk a minute or two down the road and have breakfast here. By declining daily cleaning of our room, we got a voucher to put towards a breakfast here. The dining room was empty when we arrived so the service was fast and attentive. Crab dip was subpar but steamed shrimp was awesome. Server never cleared the table before bringing out more food. Then the runner looked confused when I asked her to remove the dirty plates first. My husband noticed the building was under negative air pressure caused from Kitchen hood exhaust (kitchen saloon doors sucked in) causing hot humid exterior air to rush into the restaurant when the exterior doors would open. Sit away from doors if you want A/C. Outdoor seating looked nice and led to long pier on the water.

Took my daddy for the first time for Father's Day and he loved it! !!!
Nice enough restaurant, but way too noisy. Food very good but not outstanding. I'd flagged our group as celebrating a birthday (my grandson's 19th), but the waiter told us they didn't do anything for special occasions -- a disappointment since the question was asked when I made the reservation through Open Table. A bit on the expensive side, but I suppose that's to be expected on a warm summer weekend night.
Food & service was wonderful! Had a great birthday celebration. Will be back soon.
