I visited Riptide this afternoon with a few friends, and I have to say, Adam, our bartender and server, was fantastic. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience and that all our needs were met. We ordered crabs, and they were some of the best we've had in a long time. We had a wonderful experience at Riptide, especially enjoying the great outdoor patio located right across from The Sagamore Pendry Hotel. The food was delicious; we tried the oysters, Beach Burger, and Ahi Tuna fish tacos, all of which were fantastic. There was no wait for a table, although the service was a bit slow, and our waiter had an unusual demeanor. Overall, we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend Riptide.
I had an incredible outing with my coworkers! Our planned restaurant was closed because of a local protest, so we ended up heading to Fells Point. Luckily, it was an industry workers' night with 50% off on Mondays! The bartender upstairs, whose name I think was Brittney, was fantastic. We had a blast! I would definitely recommend this place—10/10! I just wish I had Mondays off, haha.
We had to wait over an hour for oysters and French fries. The server never checked on us the entire time, my sons food was the first which was tenders and fries. The tenders were over cooked and the fries were okay. The plate was hotter than the good. They said they were understaffed. I much rather would have been told that from the beginning and given the option to wait or not. Not a good experience. Will not return here again unfortunately. UPDATE: The manager did come
This was an awful experience. I wish there was something positive I could say about this place, and I tried to find something but there was none. Waiter was high as a kite. Not on weed either, something so much stronger and it showed Food was horribly burnt and nasty. Had to doctor up the soup with a ton of Old Bay to make it taste like anything. I have never sent any food back to the kitchen but this was the first time. The hash was so dry and burnt it was inedible
I visited this restaurant, and it was a mistake. They took an eternity to serve our crabs, which were small and mostly meager in meat. They didn't offer any butter but did give us corn on the cob. When the server brought us our drinks, they were in plastic cups, and he was holding the straw down with his finger—without any paper covering it! That was the last straw for me, and we decided not to order any food. We opted to go elsewhere instead.
