What User doesn't like about The Crown Baltimore:
This is not my favorite place but it's also not the worst. I've only been on karaoke nights. The music is always louder than the singer. The list is of course ridiculously long, so if you don't get there early, you won't sing. The food is a 5/10 at best and the last time I got the dumplings they were rubbery and warm. As an anime fan, this is the ultimate bar! Went on a Sunday night and rented a private karaoke room. They did not have room service and we had to get out own drinks and bring them back to the karaoke room, but I could obviously see they were understaffed so all is forgiven. Other patrons in the main part of the bar were all watching an anime together on the projector screen they have. Great atmosphere although rough around the edges and definitely a one of kind spot in Maryland. Going to bring my friends back for another karaoke night for sure!
I came through on a Saturday night around 11 PM to check out their new and improved second floor. It had been closed for the majority of the pandemic so I was curious to see what it looked like. The second floor is now one continuous space rather than a couple of themed rooms like it was in The Before Time before covid. I'm a fan of the continuous look but I'm sure that there'll be those that miss having different musical options to groove to. Speaking of people, where were they? The place was desolate on a Saturday night. The DJ was doing a good job on the boards...but if good music is played and no one's there to hear it, does it exist? Be advised that they do charge a cover now for the aforementioned DJ of $10 as of this writing. It wasn't worth it in my view.
Food was good like always, and got here very fast. So it was hot and yummy. Will definitely reorder there

Even on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was still pretty lively. The bartender, Daphne, was terrific and suggested great drinks! I ordered the Bulgogi Nachos to share with a group of friends. I loved the unique fusion of flavors. The kale, chips, and cabbage on top created lots of interesting textures. However, I would have preferred if there was more cheese on top. Also, the chips were different from the traditional corn tortilla and tasted more like a baked pita chip.
