I really enjoyed going to this spot. It has character and charm. The food was tasty and the staff who i think is the owner is funny and helpful. My only issue was they were out of turkey but I think it's a national shortage so not their fault however it limited my options.Food: 4/5 View all feedback.
What Dylan Goldman doesn't like about Soup's On:
In town for work. Went to Soup's on with a group of six coworkers. Cute little place. Food looked and smelled great. The gentleman working the counter asked if we had ordered ahead, which we had not. With a smirk on his face he kept saying we should have ordered ahead, and wouldn't take our order. I mentioned to a coworker that maybe we should go someplace else, to which the gentleman responded that he didn't care if... View all feedback.
I love this place and often recommend it as a place to pick up lunch or meet for work lunches lunches with friends. Great variety and options for different diets. Soup, salad, and sandwiches can't go wrong. I love the house salad and get it every time I go.The tables are beautifully painted in all different ways. Space is a bit tight for seating but I like that because it feels homey and welcoming to me. Lots of stairs to get in, out, and around so not accessible in that way.
Great value (prices are good, not tax added, no tips accepted), nice variety (I got a cold, healthy soup on a hot summer day today), friendly folks. They also have sandwiches and a soup/salad combo.Food: 5/5
Got the french Onion, curry broc, and minestrone togo.French Onion was as good as you can get for getting it togo. A lot of the appeal to french onion is having the caramelized cheese on a half soggy slice of bread underneath a broiler or torched and served immediately. Got what I was expecting getting it togo. Good enough.Curry broc is amazing. Really good idea adding curry to broc cheddar, and definitely something I will be trying in the future. I guess if the owner is reading this, I add smoked gruyere to mine.Minestrone was very disappointing. Way too much pasta. Take 90% of pasta out and replace with vegetables in my opinion. Next time I get this, I will get it with no pasta.Overall, positive experience.

With a smirk on his face he kept saying we should have ordered ahead, and wouldn't take our order. I mentioned to a coworker that maybe we should go someplace else, to which the gentleman responded that he didn't care if we left. So we left. I hope that gentlemen was the owner because I would be very angry that was my employee. I prefer to eat and shop at small businesses. It appears that Soup's On is doing so well that they didn't need our business.
Had really good food here before, but when I revisited, the staff was horrible. I waited at the counter checking out the daily menu, while some people showed up to pick up their food. Suddenly one of the staff just yelled at me “GET OUT OF THE WAY!!” I was shocked and confused because there was plenty of space for people to pick up their stuff, and it made absolutely no sense to yell at your customer. I ended up leaving without ordering anything. Not sure if he was having a bad day or just a bad personality. Worst experience ever.
