Sabatino's - Baltimore
Sabatino's
Description
Some recent reviews of the restaurant have been mixed. Customers have mentioned disappointment in the quality of food, with complaints of overcooked, tasteless dishes that did not live up to expectations. One review mentioned a lack of proper ingredients used in the dishes, such as canned tomato sauce instead of homemade. Another customer was unhappy with the balsamic vinaigrette dressing they received, and noted that the staff did not provide attentive service. On the other hand, there were positive reviews about the atmosphere and service of the restaurant, with compliments on the food and staff. Overall, while some were pleased with their dining experience, others found the food to be lacking in quality and value.

I was really disappointed. A co-worker used to bring me eggplant Parmesan from Sabatino's 20 years ago and I LOVED it. I graduated from Strayer University at CFG Arena and wanted to go to Sabatino's for my graduation dinner. I was so disappointed and I won't be going out of my way to go there again. Oh well... This restaurant felt like home! I remembered going as a child and decided to revisit as an adult on my trip to Baltimore. Everything about Sabatinos was fantastic. The atmosphere feels like your in your Italian grandparents house. The staff were extremely friendly and even though we showed up a half hour before our reservation they seated us right away. Service here was so quick, but it didn't at all feel rushed! Our waitress Linda brought us fresh water and continued to keep our water roped off through the meal. We ordered a cherry lime soda cocktail and a white sangria to start. The cherry lime soda was incredible It tasted like a rich black cherry soda extremely refreshing. The sangria was equally refreshing and they seem to have a VERY LARGE selection of wine. Linda brought us bread as well and the bread was massive, soft and clearly fresh. We placed our order for Tortellini in the tortellini sauce and eggplant Parmesan. The food came out before I could finish my first slice of bread! Oh my goodness I can't explain how deeply delicious and rich with flavor the tortellini sauce was with peas carrots mushrooms it. The tortellini itself was so delicious and the portion was massive! The eggplant Parmesan was also phenomenal and came with a side of pasta. On our reservation we noted it was our anniversary and before we left they surprised us with a brownie and candle and wished us a happy anniversary! This meal truly made our trip worth it and I will absolutely be coming back! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Sabatino’s is a true classic! From what I’ve heard, this family-owned restaurant has been around for over 70 years—and it’s easy to see why. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and full of charm. I had the rigatoni with grilled chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. The portion size was just right—not too small, not overwhelming. I actually surprised myself by finishing the entire plate—it was that good! A big shoutout to Diane, my server, who was an absolute gem. She was kind, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. With a menu that looks as tempting as this one, I’ll definitely be coming back to try more. Highly recommend Sabatino’s if you’re looking for a memorable meal in a truly special place. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Great food and people! The garlic bread was to die for! Everything we ordered it was delicious! We were trying to figure out where to eat and the guy that runs the place happen to be outside. He made such that an impression on us that we had to comeback and pick this location. Not that he bragged on himself but he bragged about the neighborhood! The food was amazing and youcan feel his pride in the neighborhood not just his restaurant.
A wonderful landmark!! Always a great old school italian family restaurant feel. Food- as always, very good. I had chicken Alfredo. My wife had the chicken lynn, except with marinara. Of course, we had to start with a house salad, so we could get thehouse dressing. We also started with the short rib ravioli. All delicious The staff was very friendly as usual. This timearound our waiter was not nearly as attentive as we'd like, but out of the dozens and dozens of times we've been here, it was afirst, and they were very busy (which was great to see), so I'll give a pass on that one. If you havnt tried Sabatinos, andyou're looking for some good, old school, home cooked Italian, definitely give them a try.
