R&r Seafood - Baltimore
R&r Seafood
Description
Nestled at BWI Airport, the seafood bar presents a diverse menu that has left diners divided. While some appreciate the fresh oysters and quality dishes, others criticize the high prices and inconsistent service. The atmosphere boasts cozy, sea-themed decor, enhancing the experience for some patrons. However, unprofessional staff interactions and concerns over cleanliness have tarnished the restaurant's reputation. Diners recommend sticking to beverages and small plates rather than full meals, as many feel the food lacks freshness. In a bustling airport setting, this establishment offers potential but falls short of expectations in execution and service.

The seafood bar truly lives up to its name. It's a very cozy spot where you can order a variety of drinks and small portions of seafood to savor over hours. Everything I tried was fresh and delicious. The service was also excellent.
The food was enjoyable, though I found the portions a bit small for my appetite. The fish was excellent, although it was a tad too salty for my taste. The potato salad had quite a bit of vinegar, which I’m not a fan of. Overall, I believe the restaurant offers a good value for the price.
We made a reservation for dinner on a Wednesday night for 4 adults and 3 kids. When we arrived, they could not find our reservation. We showed them our phone log to prove that we had called earlier to book a table. The waiter was very accommodating and got us a nice table in the back area. He was very friendly and attentive. We loved the fresh oysters, wine and cerviche. I especially enjoyed the salad with grilled shrimp. The kids also ate all their fish and chips kids’ meal. We were also asked to show our covid digital passport which we appreciated. Ship sea themed decorations made the ambiance extra special!
Reserve a table through Google Maps (using The Fork service) and enjoy a wonderful experience at the restaurant. For our celebration, we opted for oysters.
We visited this restaurant after the marathon. Just wanted something very plain but cooked well. The fish was beautifully prepared. The cucumber and ginger salad was very tasty. And the rosemary creme brûlée, amazing. The service was good. Only slight down side were the prices, a little expensive. But the quality of the fish was good. Also the service was friendly and helpful.
