Rosina Gourmet Downtown - Baltimore

My coworkers and I really enjoy the food at this restaurant, but unfortunately, placing an order has become quite challenging. We've experienced multiple delivery orders through their website that were cancelled for various reasons. Today, I called ahead to confirm that none of those issues would affect our order, especially since I've had difficulties getting full refunds for cancelled orders in the past. However, I was informed that I couldn't place an order because they had decided to close early due to low traffic. Unfortunately, I think this might be our last attempt to dine here.

Artisan bread, imported meats and cheeses and most importantly attention to detail. Rosina Gourmet has been making some of the best sandwiches around since 1999. Just go there now, you won't be sorry.

The service is quite commendable, and the food is enjoyable. While I wouldn't describe it as delicious, there is an element that makes it unique—I'm not entirely sure what it is. Perhaps it's just that the flavors are new to my taste buds, or maybe it has to do with the ciabatta bread. I tried both the Chicken Parmesan sandwich and the Honey Orange BBQ Chicken Sandwich, and I definitely preferred the Honey Orange BBQ Chicken. The dishes are best enjoyed fresh; reheating or leaving them for later can lead to less satisfying results.

I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant, but I feel it's important to caution others about my experience. The prices here are outrageously high, and the food was just average. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and an iced tea, but since they didn't have any iced coffee available at 9 AM (and I was the only customer), I went with the tea. I ended up paying over $13 for that. On top of that, the "everything" bagel cost an additional 89 cents, even though they were out of the bagel I initially wanted. I also discovered later that adding a smear of avocado came with a charge of $2.25! Yes, $2.25. There were no visible prices on the menu, which made the experience even more frustrating.
