Was Jim McCarthy at Ikaros a mag?
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The owner was very attentive and made sure we had a great meal. Our waiter, George, was also very attentive. The menu had a wonderful variety of foods, which was perfect for our group with different dietary restrictions. The crab cakes were the biggest, best priced, and most delicious I've ever had. The mousakka and grilled octopus were also fantastic. The salmon dish c... View all feedback.

What Hope Grady dislikes about Ikaros:
We were disappointed in this visit after having many meals there over many years. Our waitress Michelle was inattentive and not very professional. For whatever reason, the meals took almost an hour to get to the table after ordering. We made several requests for drink refills, more bread, and to speak to the owner. Drinks and bread took way too long and the owner who we happened to see when we walked in, was never to... View all feedback.

This is a wonderful authentic Greek restaurant, very traditional. The ambience is very homey, on Saturday night we had live Middle Eastern music being played very softly in the main dining room. The food and the wine were excellent, and the menu is extensive for all kinds of tastes. This restaurant is highly recommended!

I cannot put into words how delicious and amazing the food was at Ikaros, as well as how warm the service was. I came across Ikaros online while searching for a place to celebrate my birthday, and I am so thankful that I did. Coming from Miami, where there are many excellent Greek restaurants, and having eaten Greek food in Greece itself, I can confidently say that this family-owned Greek restaurant in Baltimore has the best Greek food outside of Greece. We tried a variety of mezes, including stuffed grape leaves with a delicious sauce, exquisite Taramosalata, tender octopus with incredible flavor, eggplant salad, sardines in olive oil, and pasticcio that was Top Chef quality. Patricia, our hostess, went above and beyond to make our experience special, surprising me with a mini baklava cake with a candle for my birthday and leading the staff in singing "happy birthday." The staff made us feel like family and I will never forget their warmth and generosity, not to mention the incredible food. I will definitely be returning to Ikaros for more amazing food and the exceptional service provided by Patricia, the chef, and the rest of the staff. I can confidently say that this Greek restaurant in Baltimore is one of the best I have visited worldwide and can compete with any restaurant, Greek or otherwise. Thank you again to Patricia for an unforgettable birthday lunch!

The salmon dish came with two large filets and the Greek white wine was outstanding. The desserts were wonderful as well. All of this was at a very reasonable price. We traveled from Northern Virginia just to eat at this restaurant and it was definitely worth it. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in this area.

IKAROS was one of the best Greek restaurants I've had the opportunity to dine. Great family-friendly environment. Staff was attentive but not pushy. Menu was incredible with a plethora of options for those that are vegetarian or with special dietaryneeds without having to make guests feel comfortable ordering. We dined with a large group. Menu options were descriptive enoughto move the ordering along. most were accommodated without the usual delay associated with a food type outside their comfortzone. Both my wife and i had the lamb items. They were amazing. Many had fish.. all items were well presented and wonderfullyseasoned without being overwhelming. Kids menu was extensive, and high chairs were available. Highly recommend
