I ordered a 6-inch cake for a friend's birthda... read more This restaurant is excellent. Everything I ordered was some of the best food I have had since moving to the city. I ordered a 6-inch cake for a friend's birthday, and they were able to make it last minute. The cake was moist and dense, with incredible flavor. The party was surprised to learn it was vegan and gluten-free. I also ordered lunch, including a carrot lox and cream cheese bagel. The bagel was fresh and homemade, tasting almost like sourdough. The cashew cream cheese was creamy and rich. The portions could have been bigger and the cream cheese a bit thicker, but that's just my preference. I also tried a Samoa Bar dessert, which was one of the best desserts I've ever had. The Golden Milk was also delicious, but I was in a rush and couldn't enjoy it fully. I will definitely be returning with friends.

However, having outdoor seating in November is not a good idea. We tried the quiche and the Samoa, both of which were incredibly tasty and satisfying. We look forward to trying more items on the menu. Update: The coconut cake is light and fluffy with crispy edges, and pairs perfectly with coffee. The Browne has a good amount of chocolate and walnuts, but is overly sweet.

I got the black bean empanada, a chickpea curry tart, 2 cinnamon rolls, and some pumpkin cake. All were delicious with the standouts being the gooey cinnamon roll and mouth-watering black bean empanada. I had to resist going back again later in the day. worth noting, I didn't think customer service was great. the servers were kind of rude (multiple members of my party agreed). I understand it could have been an off day for them, and I don't want this to detract from the review. I'm still giving the food 5 stars, but I say that one should just be potentially ready for a non ideal interaction with the staff.

Today, I tried the Carrot Lox and Cashew Cream Cheese on an Everything Bagel for the first time and it was fantastic! I also had the iced Golden Milk, a new twist on my usual hot drink, and it was just as good. I haven't tried the Blueberry Crumb Gluten-free donut yet, but I've had their donuts before and they're always tasty. They pair perfectly with tea and coffee, especially for dipping. I will definitely be coming back as a loyal customer. A big shout out to Lisa and her hard-working team - Lisa is a wonderful person, always friendly and welcoming. Additionally, they regularly participate in Maryland Vegan Restaurant Weeks, both in the summer and winter.
