Hammerjacks - Baltimore
Hammerjacks
Description
While the venue offers an exciting lineup of performances and a prime location for city access, patrons face significant frustrations with long lines and disorganized logistics. Waiting over 45 minutes for drinks and food detracts from the overall experience, overshadowing the enjoyment of the shows. The staff, though friendly, are hindered by the management's ineffective operations, leading to a poor customer experience. Many leave feeling dissatisfied, vowing not to return due to inefficiencies in service and lack of communication regarding available items.

The place was decent, but getting a drink was a frustrating experience. There's no justification for waiting 45 minutes in line just to pick up a drink, especially when you have to stand in a separate line to place your order, pay, and receive a drink card. Having worked in the restaurant industry for over 20 years, I've seen operations run much more efficiently. All they seemed to do was take your order and grab a drink from the cooler. In the end, I didn't even bother trying to get another drink.
While it's great that the shows are happening, the logistics leave a lot to be desired. The long lines to enter and the wait for food and drinks can make you miss out on the performances. You might want to reconsider attending this festival, as the frustration with the venue could overshadow the chance to see your favorite band.
The management of this venue leaves much to be desired, which is unfortunate given its potential. We had to wait an hour just to get in and then another hour for our drinks. Having attended 10-12 concerts annually, we’ve never encountered such a convoluted system for food and beverages. First, you wait to pay, and then you have to go to a separate area where the line is even longer to pick up your drinks. Additionally, the venue is surrounded by double-stacked transport containers that create a poor acoustic experience unless you're close to the center. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and the drink prices were reasonable. However, I cannot recommend this place, and we probably won't be returning.
Hammer jacks is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of spectators. Clutch was penned as an all ages show. There was one unmarked exit/entrance. While I appreciate adults can make adult decisions however it is the venues responsibility to regulate spectator behavior and conduct. Especially when illegal and children are in their venue. Deplorable, abhorrent, negligent and complicit ownership. Sacrificing kids for revenue. Went to see Clutch and never saw the band. The kids could not take the environment and was a horrible experience. Spent money on tickets and merchandise to sit outside and leave early. Shame on you hammerjacks. Venue should be shut down and closed for unsafe and deplorable conditions. Bad enough we had to contend with long lines, and no seats…but blatant disregard for welfare of kids and spectators when marketing an all age show tells spectators all they need about owners.
