We did not know that we would be there for Bingo Night in the main dining room quite a noisy activity. However, the staff was accommodating and moved us to a quiet bar space behind the main hall where we could hear one another talk during our meal. Check for special activities at the restaurant. What User doesn't like about Guilford Hall:
Space great. Servers were attentive. Beer good. Food not good. Overpriced for portion sizes and the Shepherds pie was over-salted. Disappointing, as the website really played up the food. View all feedback.
My man and I tied it for the first time for the restaurant week and we were very disappointed. we ordered the pulpit, the ended one of the best items we eat together with the whisky brotpudding. we were greeted by a very pleasant host, but the waitress spent more time talking to her employees at the bar then waiting on our table. we waited 25 minutes after dessert to get the check and guess what, luck was already included! Moreover, I ordered their $12 **** mary that came without two of the items that it cost more than the regular version. I had to say that the waitress was missing that she was their answer that they had run out, but I was still charged the full price. the damn mary was so bad that I couldn't even drink it. it had a very sweet taste. the pig bell meal said it came with a honey orange glaze that sound delicious. Instead, the entire meal was metered in muskatnuss. most meal times were not possible due to the immense amount of muskatnus that was not even mentioned in the menu description. the ambiente is beautiful, but the waiting staff and the eating were extremely sub par. definitiw a place to go for a beer, a pulpit and the ambiente.... nothing else!
Beautiful space and very dog friendly. They had a glitch in the ordering system the day I was there but the staff was very accomodating. Great food!

Overall we all enjoyed our dinner. The interior is very nice and we hope to experience the Biergarten when it gets warmer.
