One thing that immediately makes David and Dad?s cafe stand out to me is the location and all the beautiful historic touches they?ve kept. Being in the building was great and I just kept taking more pictures. I?ll also say the service was friendly and quick. I ordered the Reuben and garden salad and they were both pretty good but the bread was a bit soggy and I?m used to more meat on a good Reuben. The garden salad was simply a garden salad which is good. Ultimately if I go back it will be for the atmosphere over the food but the food was not bad at all!
I don't know how this place doesn't have more reviews, but the food, service, and coffee ! are fantastic. It's nice to have a quick breakfast spot that offers a little table service because it made me feel welcome, and like I didn't have to rush. I got the pancakes and they were both huge and delicious. They rely on the honor system to get your self serve bottled and fountain drinks, and give you coffee in an actual glass mug if you eat in. It shows a lot of trust, which is amazing for building a loyal clientele. Prices are very reasonable $8 for pancakes and bacon probably the best bang for my buck I've found so far when it comes to breakfast in Baltimore. Oh! Plus being in an old bank headquarters built in 1895 also makes it one of the fanciest places to eat your quick weekday breakfast. Definitely check it out!
David and Dad?s Cafe, there is a first-time for everything! Today?s breakfast was a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, topped with butter and jelly on toast. This sandwich was a call-in order with a request for well-done bacon. The chef did well, on the well done, when I did find a strip. I learned this sandwich only comes with two.????? The eggs were softer than my liking, and the bread was soggy. Maybe they were busy; it seems they barely touched the grill. The building lives up to its reputation. Very picturesque!
David and Dad?s Cafe is magic! The interior is absolutely stunning. The historical touches mixed in with modern appliances actually worked really well. Service was very quick and the food was fantastic. The wraps and the waffles were well above expectation and the coffee was excellent. Will be coming back in the future!
Great space! The atmosphere is nice, with a dining area and order counter, and the food and coffee have no complaints from me. I've been twice recently, and tried their Cinnamon French Toast, their Spicy Sausage Burrito, Home Fries, and Cappuccino.Everything has been great so far. The Burrito picture shows some Old Bay and Tabasco sauce, but I added those. Not much in theway of spices on the food I've tried, but everything's still good! Overall, this is mostly a place to stop by for good,above-average diner-type food and coffee options. The service is good, and the place has plenty of regular customers dining in,so it's easy to recommend! 5/5 stars!

The staff here are fantastic, and the waffles are truly amazing! My fiancé ordered the pancakes and enjoyed them just as much. It was the perfect way to kick off our weekend getaway.

What a great find! David and Dad’s Cafe is a great place with great prices and the most friendly staff. We stopped for breakfast and it filled us up, tasted great and didn’t break the bank. The cappuccino was great, the iced mocha was a tad too sweet and the nitro coffee was great. The omelet was great as were the bagels and they sandwiches.

Good food and great coffee. I haven’t received the best service when I come there though. Often been skipped or dismissed when waiting in line. The first time I came (the manager or owner I think) seemed too busy to help me or even look at me. I’ve been about 3 times I think and it’s been almost the same energy from everyone there. I only gone because it’s better quality than Dunkin Donuts and only about $5-$7 more for the breakfast and coffee combo I usually order.

Quick delicious food in a restored bank! Great service. Not accommodating to use bathroom Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Don’t sleep on this breakfast spot if you’re in Baltimore! Located in an old bank, this place serves up a hot and delicious breakfast. Their Bistro Breakfast Sandwich was excellent and their vanilla sweet cream cold brew was beyond tasty. My colleagues all enjoyed their choices as well (the powerhouse bagel, the waffle, and the fruit salad). I’m sad we discovered this on our penultimate day, otherwise I would have gone back more. This cafe was delightful to visit. I enjoyed my sandwich and mocha. The ingredients were fresh and the portions were surprisingly generous. You can expect standard cafe fare, but there are also some unique dishes to try; I may come back soon just to try their pot pie! Most notable is the building; the interior is beautiful and if you are an artsy or historical type, you’ll feel a sense of awe at your surroundings. Be warned that if you come during lunchtime on a weekday you may get stuck in a rush of jurors on their lunch break.
