Very good breakfast. Reasonably priced. The best part was our server Chris. Friendly, professional and right there to fill our coffee cup. Definitely will come back. View all feedback.
What Alice H doesn't like about Country Kitchen:
This place is located in Lexington Market, in the East Market, closer to the Arcade side. I got a platter with rotisserie chicken wings, sweet potatoes, and steamed vegetables. The rotisserie chicken was surprisingly tasty. I was worried that it would be too dry, but it had just the right crisp for the skin and was full of flavor. Overall more solid than I expected. The sweet potatoes were sweetened with brown sugar... View all feedback.

Today was my first visit to Country Kitchen. I've heard many wonderful things and decided to try them out.. I was greeted with friendly smiles and even offered free samples. One sample and i was hooked. There are many lunch/dinner combos to choose from. I ordered the smothered chicken , macaroni n cheese, and greens. The chicken and gravy was phenomenal. The mac n cheese..was fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised. I love mac n cheese and can be quite critical of others if it doesn't compare to my own.. just being honest) The greens were okay..nice and tender..The only thing I would say is the greens m Needed a little more seasoning..other than that..My lunch was yummy and they give you enough for leftovers. I will definitely visit again
Food is yummy especially those cornbread muffins â¤ï¸â¤ï¸

The rotisserie chicken was surprisingly tasty. I was worried that it would be too dry, but it had just the right crisp for the skin and was full of flavor. Overall more solid than I expected. The sweet potatoes were sweetened with brown sugar and reminded me of Thanksgiving. I probably wouldn't get it every time, but it was very good. The cabbage was soft, cooked in broth, and not too salty. I thought it paired well with the chicken. I will probably come back here and try some of their other traditional items. I was eyeing their ribs and mac&cheese, so I might try that next time.
