During my visit to Baltimore, I received a recommendation for Clavel from a friend who had lived in the city back in 2017. I'm happy to say that this restaurant definitely lives up to its reputation. Since they don’t accept reservations, we arrived at 4:45 PM on a Saturday to join the lineup before the restaurant opened at 5 PM. By the time the doors opened, there were around 20 groups waiting, and the line wrapped around the building. Fortunately, there is plenty of seating available! I was truly impressed by the ambiance of the place.

I was thrilled to try this restaurant after a co-worker recommended it to me! The ambiance was charming, and I enjoyed one of the shrimp ceviche tostadas along with a shrimp taco and some guacamole chips on the side. The black bean dip is absolutely amazing if you're a fan of black beans! I also had a margarita, which was refreshing. I really appreciated the decor and the overall atmosphere, and I'm looking forward to bringing a friend along next time. Plus, I loved that a 20% gratuity was already included in my bill—great job on that!

Outstanding neighbourhood restaurant, that anyone should be thrilled to call a local. It?s super busy but maintains good order and pleasant buzz. Food is ace, with maybe a little lack of refinement here and there, but you?ve got to really try hard to find anything wrong. Well pitched drinks list, and good service. It?s fun, the food is good, place looks and feels great

The food is flavorful, it tasted amazing! The place is so well decorated that it makes you feel like you’re in the desert in a good way! Everything was just right! Must try for sure in Baltimore! The chicken mole taco was one of my favorites! I had no complaints it’s a great place all all. Book ahead a very popular place. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We went on a Wednesday for the first time, and the place was packed to the gills. We went to see if we could be seated and was quoted a pretty long wait time. The hostess said to hang tight bc it she was pretty sure she could get is in before 40 mins. I wasn't so sure because there were almost no tables available. I even started to Google looking for nearby restaurants. This lady was on point! She got us seated in about 15 minutes, and the service was polite and fast. Not to mention, the food was fresh and tasty. They treated all customers fairly no matter the background. To be seated and served. The brisket pop up on the menu was good. We will try them once more.
