Reviews - Cinghiale
Reviews summary
Cinghiale offers a mixed dining experience that varies significantly from visit to visit. While many patrons praise the exceptional cuisine, including standout dishes like the Squid Ink Pasta and New York Strip Steak, others report a lack of attentive service, with incidents of rudeness from management and slow food delivery. Highlights included flavorful appetizers and desserts, particularly the Veal Tortelloni and Goat Cheese Cheesecake. Though some guests encountered service hiccups, many appreciated the accommodating staff and overall ambiance, making Cinghiale popular for group gatherings and celebrations. However, the inconsistency in service has led to divided opinions among diners.

Must eat here! Was only able to make it for dessert and drinks but it was certainly the highlight of our trip. The service is the best in town that I experienced. Nothing goes overlooked and everything is made in house with care and love. I can't wait to return for dinner. View all feedback.
What Coralie Marvin dislikes about Cinghiale:
Belated New Year's Eve dinner review. The NY strip, mushroom tagliatelle, and banana Panna Cotta were my favorites of the evening. Really beautiful and romantic ambiance. Was not aware the surge in price for NYE as it was not on the website. View all feedback.

We rented the private room for our wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks. We had an absolutely incredible experience!! The planning process was super seamless, they were highly accommodating of the layout, and the room was perfect when we got there. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. Chris, the service captain, was the absolute BEST!! He kept everything moving smoothly and on time (even when we were late! and was incredibly attentive. It really couldn't have gone any better--we were super happy with the experience and would highly recommend to anyone else looking to host a private event!! Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

If you're looking for a special occasion dining experience, this is the place to be. I find the Cindy Wolf establishments very elegant without being overly pretentious and over the top. The food is great quality and exquisitely prepared. I went to afarewell party and the staff was so accommodating and attentive. I highly recommend the 3 course+dessert with wine pairingoption. There's so much to choose from which can be overwhelming at first, but the servers took their time answering ourquestions and making suggestions. And everything we ate was delicious and no complaints whatsoever. I enjoyed my experienceimmensely.
We had an amazing time at Cinghiale during restaurant week. It is important to note that while the restaurant has a series of fresh pastas, it is way more than pasta. Cinghiale makes you familiar with a culinary tradition that includes home-style foodsin a more elevated version. The space is open and bright and the service very good. Don't forget to try the focaccia and toexplore parts of the vast wine menu. I have intentionally done a lot of Italian fine dining and Cinghiale has a special placein my heart.
This place is an absolute gem in Baltimore! By far one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Our server, Cathia, was incredible and very attentive, along with the bussers and the hostess. Amazing food and ambiance. The wine selection isspectacular as well. You’d be crazy not to come to this restaurant. I’ll be back very soon!
So, the food was alright. Nothing really truly outstanding. However, this is easily the best dining experiences I?ve ever received in my life. Our waiter, a soon to be sommelier, was phenomenal. He suggested the perfect bottle for me and was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his craft the entire night. I would come back time and time again just for him!
The atmosphere in this restaurant is very nice and romantic, and everyone apart of running the foh we?re all so very nice. We had a nice warm welcome by the hostess, a nice manager who spoke with us when there were some mishaps, and a very nice waitress who luckily spoke Spanish (my partners preferred language/mother tongue). Sadly the food was very mediocre. Everything looked very good, and the presentation was nice, but there really just wasn?t much creativity or flavor. The menu descriptions all sounded very good by listing a plethora of different flavor and ingredient combinations but then when we tasted it was honestly either very average and underwhelming or just bad. Everything was in need of salt pepper and more flavor profiles. The tortellini was very hard, not al dente, but hard. The foie gras was very much unlike any foie gras I?ve had in the past, and I?m very sure the chocolate gelato in our dessert had freezer burn or was melted and then froze again. When we come to Baltimore we usually dine at orto but unfortunately they shut down so I guess we just came with high expectations. It was very relieving and nice when the staff apologized for these disappointments and tried to make up for it with a few subtractions from the check we really appreciate the care, generosity, and kindness from the whole front of the house. Thank you

For some reason, it took me way too long to try out Cinghiale, but I am so happy I finally did. This restaurant absolutely blew me away, and it 's safe to say it 's one of the top restaurant experiences I 've ever had. We 're not big meat eaters, so rather than doing the tasting menu, we stuck to appetizers and pasta. The cheese plate was an amazing start to the meal. We picked two types of cheese, and it came with a big portion of both, as well as delicious crostini and strawberries. For the main course, I loved that they offer half sizes of pasta, because I was able to try two smaller bowls of two pastas that sounded good, which is way more interesting to me than one big bowl of the same thing. Every pasta we ordered was incredible. And for a reasonably priced half size, the portions were still large enough that I had lunch the following day. It was some of the best pasta I 've ever had. We also loved our drinks, from the cocktails to the 3 oz. pours of wine that, like the pasta, allow you to try different things. Our waiter was great at recommending wine to accompany the pasta. Service overall was outstanding. They were able to accommodate us earlier than our original reservation. There was a bag check, and when we were leaving, the man who seated us remembered that I had a backpack and checked that I had been able to retrieve it. I can 't wait to go back, and this definitely gave me a new perspective of how wonderful a restaurant experience can be. I have been to plenty of delicious restaurants before, but this was on a different level.
I have never had a bad dish here. Correction: I have always had an excellent dish here. My faves are the veal carne cruda and the tajarin pasta with veal. Unfortunately they change out some menu items, so don’t get too attached. They recently added the garganelle pasta with the Parmesan founduta amazing!
The staff were fantastic and made my son and me feel completely welcome. The food was incredible—possibly the best tomatoes and ice cream we've ever tasted. It was truly a special experience!
I had the amatriciana and it was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant. The service is outstanding.

My recent dining experience at Cinghiale was disappointing. Despite being a frequent customer, the manager Hostess was rude from the start, seemingly more interested in socializing with another manager than attending to customers. The food took an unusually long time to arrive, and when it did, my chicken was dry and tough. When I raised my concerns with the lead waiter, the manager simply brushed it off and continued socializing with her friend. Their unprofessional behavior was evident to all in the restaurant. Overall, I would not recommend dining at Cinghiale based on my experience.
My wife and I went on Monday and had phenomenal service. are meals were excellent and I would highly recommend.
Is there a sixth star on this survey? Exceptional service, creative, fresh and flavorful food. My favorite restaurant in the city, hands down. Only downer was they didn’t have ingredients to make several of the cocktails on the menu which was odd. Meal and service great nonetheless.
Though definitely on the expensive side of the cost spectrum, the overall experience and food are excellent and it’s absolutely worth the visit!
There were seven of us, so even though we had a lovely round table in the corner, it was still difficult to hear unless you were sitting right next to someone. The food was fantastic. We shared appetizers and pasta dishes, and everyone ended up ordering the duck and trying the same desserts. It was a fantastic evening out.
