I visit quite often during my work day and my favorite drink is the Golden Milk (NON-ALCOHOLIC . I've purchased books, calendars, and postcards with no issues. The staff are friendly (for the most part and the atmosphere is tranquil. I live in the neighborhood and often come to Bird in Hand to study, work, or relax. Pros: Great atmosphere and books Excellent coffee, food, and pastries Good seating options, indoor and outdoor Cons: Some baristas have been pretty rude There are hardly any outlets to plug in a laptop Overall, I am really glad it's in the neighborhood. But I would love to see the Cons disappear!

Visiting from Arizona so the concept of books is very novel to me. It was a really cool spot and the staff were very friendly. Had the matcha latte and it was really good
It's hard to find places that know how to make a latté. If I want a good espresso drink, this is one of my spots. I should also say I am not really a reader but something always catches my eye on their shelves. I also appreciate the water offered to drink and the access to real glassware!
