Coleman's - Ballyclare
Coleman's
Description
Coleman's garden center café evokes mixed reviews, balancing promise with pitfalls. While some patrons appreciate the diverse atmosphere and commendable service, particularly from attentive staff, many express disappointment over the food quality. Breakfast options, like the all-day breakfast and soured avocado toast, fell short of expectations, while miscommunications regarding orders left some diners frustrated. Nevertheless, highlights such as the praised seafood chowder and a delightful afternoon tea show potential. The café could benefit from clearer menu transitions and better execution of dishes. Overall, it’s a place that needs refinement but shows glimpses of a rewarding dining experience.

I stumbled upon this garden center by chance and was pleasantly surprised by its size, variety, and atmosphere. I highly recommend it, and I won't be long before I return. There's a wide selection of flowers and garden furniture available. Additionally, there are several well-known clothing shops in the center, including Pavers, Edinburgh Wool Shop, Classic, and Mountain Warehouse. The staff is very friendly, and they offer free refills on filter coffee in the café.
This is a fantastic garden center with a wonderful café. The restrooms are clean and spacious. They offer a wide range of items, including household goods, crafts, books, clothing, gifts, and food. Some of the brands available include Pavers, Klass, Mountain Warehouse, Belleek, The Works, Edinburgh Woollen Mill, and Ponden Home. Children will love the selection of books, toys, crafts, and games from The Works. The food selection is also impressive.
Recently stopped in colemans for lunch and ordered the Seafood-Chowder. possibly the most beautiful seafood knower I had ever served with a mini-weet store. I would visit again, just eat it! a great place and caffe is cheap.
Wonderful food and coffee, as well as fantastic customer service; today we were told that they were 1 chef down during our visit and they were apologetic for any wait times that might occur as a result. Despite this, our food and drinks came out fairly quickly, and we received a free refill of our coffee to apologise for the wait time (despite the fact we weren't inconvenienced by any means). It was so lovely of them to do this, and the staff have always been delightful any other time I've visited
My friend and I enjoyed the different shops a lot, so much choice. The cafe/restaurant was a different story a nightmare. Waited ages on a table (not particularly busy 2pm ish), service so slow and disorganised. My garden platter was freezing, the scotch egg centre was frozen and other items too. Disgusting and l complained. Eventually they waived the bill but I'll never be back, ruined a lovely afternoon. These kids they've took on need proper training and management.
