It was a Saturday around dinner time (with England playing in the rugby world cup semi final) so we were sceptical about getting a table. The lady who served us was excellent. She pushed a few tables together to accommodate our group of 9. The food took a little while to come out, but was very much worth the wait. The chicken tandoori kebab is incredible, but easily enough for 2! Great spot to visit if you are in Bakewell. Food drinks: Excellent pub grub. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 4

Stopped for lunch on a Sunday a few weeks back. Sadly they serve only roasts on Sundays and no other items are available, which I've never seen a pub do before.... read more Stopped for lunch on a Sunday a few weeks back. Sadly they serve only roasts on Sundays and no other items are available, which I've never seen a pub do before. This also meant no starters were available. We had one vegetarian with us and the only option for them was a roast with the patty from a veg burger. That said, the food was fairly good and having a car park behind the pub was ideal.

The food was delicious and fresh. Our dog was made very welcome and given a water bowl and treats!! She was really made a fuss of!! Food drinks: Good choices Service: 5 Location: 5
