Came here for breakfast after the Windward Balloon experience Love the hospitality and the breakfast was good. Only thing is the bread was stale and chewy, other than that it was delicious. View all feedback.
I stumbled upon this hidden gem just off Great Eastern Highway in Bakers Hill. I visited last year and enjoyed a delightful lunch.
We have been to the Managers Tearooms a few times for lunch and recently when they catered for Valentines Day and opened in the evening for dinner. We have never been disappointed with the home style food, friendly owners and country surrounds. This is not 5 star gourmet but lovely fresh, simple food served in a rustic Australian setting. Home cooked cakes, fresh coffee, pure teas from China and home made icecream. Give it a try.
The food was delicious, especially the carrot cake which was amazing! The restaurant has a great view and atmosphere. The owners were very friendly, and they even had pet dogs around. I will definitely be coming back.
I took my sister to The Managers Tearooms for dinner on her birthday and was not disappointed. This was the second time I have been here -the first on Fathers Day 2012.The experience reminded me of sitting in a shearing shed sharing a hearty meal with friends. The chickens crow, the ducks sqabble and the quails just remain busy laying eggs. Honey and homemade preserves are produced on site from produce harvested/grown on site. Our meal ($45pp) consisted of hard boiled quail eggs with homemade bread and pate, mint and zucchini soup served piping hot, fish (beautifully cooked and moist) with garlic and cream sauce, harvested vegetables and lime cheesecake with homemade mango icecream. Generous servings, homemade lemonade and the owners chatting in between courses made a memorable night.A little gem twinkling under the stars!
Managers Tearooms is located in an old dairy building just of the Great Eastern Highway on the outskirts of Bakers Hill. The rustic environment adds to the experience of finding superb teas and coffee's accompanied by freshly make cakes and home-style meals an absolute delight. The owners are very welcoming and friendly, regaling you with stories about the history of the property and the people who have been there before and sharing their love of the resotation of a nearby wine press, also on the property, for future plans.Theme night meals are a speciality at dinner time, but you have to book to make sure you get a place! Lots of local produce is used in the meals including quails and olive oil. A real treat.
