Border Inn - Bacchus Marsh
Border Inn
Description
Dining at this restaurant has garnered mixed reviews, reflecting a decline in food quality and service. While some patrons appreciate friendly staff and accommodating service, others lament outdated menus and disappointing dishes, including undercooked seafood and bland sauces. Guests express frustration over rushed dining experiences, particularly on special occasions. However, positive remarks highlight the inviting atmosphere and reasonable prices, especially for recommended dishes like the Guinness Pie and seafood platter. The lively pub vibe with live music also appeals to many. Overall, the establishment appears to be at a crossroads, needing to revitalize its offerings to recapture former glory.

As I sat outside, a man nearby made an observation as some loud motorcycles roared past. He confidently mentioned how he immediately recognized the young rider on the bike with 34-inch wheels and the older gentleman on the Harley. His voice was soft yet firm, and I genuinely believed he knew what he was talking about. He also playfully suggested that if anyone saw those bikers, they might want to remind them that their bikes could use a tune-up!
I had a fantastic experience here! The price per person is around A$20–40. The food was rated 4 out of 5, the service was excellent at 5, and the atmosphere was also a perfect 5. I highly recommend trying the Guinness Pie and the Parma Schnitzel on their special night.
