An unusual place, very far from sanitized places. Dogs, birds, a farmyard, dust and a pile of miscellaneous objects But we ate well, and above all shared a slice of life with a restaurateur touching by his kindness and his regrets Dédé, don't give too much importance to negative messages, you managed to give us a pleasant time And your dogs are very nice
After hearing mixed reviews, I decided to try this establishment for myself. A very pretty setting outside under the mulberry trees with views of the mountains, on a quite midweek sunny evening...very peaceful..(There is also a large double glazed interior, if you prefer..... Critics of this place forget that this a farm! Yes there were flies, but not madly irritating. The food was good home cooked food and the portions was very generous which we enjoyed...at a very reasonable price. Yes . there are horses in the fields, the odd pony in a corral and 4 dogs. Plus a collection of birds, including the peacock which we sadly couldn 't see... Yes the dogs did beg quietly by sitting very close, but when told a firm non they went and never bothered us again... All in all, we had a simple but pleasant meal with no delay. in a lovely setting...and I would go again. if you are a visitor its nice to go somewhere homely and a little different. Kids would love it!
Party of six adult friends on a Monday night. The restaurant is relatively easy to find the entrance is well lit at night. The atmosphere is very unusual the dining room is really an extension of Andre 's home and is filled with numerous personal items: trophies, coats on a coat rack, etc. Additionally there are several dogs present who are inclined to visit. So I would say this restaurant is best for those who like dogs. We had Foi Gras, salads, soup, chicken, steak, duck and cassoullet. The portions were extremely generous and the ingredients seemed fresh and attractive. Everything was delicious. Our only complaint is that the steak was quite tough even though is was cooked medium rare. I would avoid the steak next time. Dessert was also good to very good: The chocolate cake was very flavorable but a bit dry, the glace with whipped cream was very good, and one dessert a very soft, creamy cheese or yogurt topped with an apricot sauce was superb. All dessert portions were once again, extremely generous. All in all this is a very unique place and dinner was very satisfying and filling. Noteworthy is that most everything in the area is closed on Monday while this place is not. We called ahead.
Very strange restaurant in that you walk through a farm yard of animals to gain entry to the dining area. Inside a nice fire and warm since it was a rainy day. Unfortunately the waiter did not speak English and we do not speak French but the chef came out to take our order. The portions were large for us for lunch but very flavorful. Little mix up on the wine. We ordered one vin blanc and one rouge but got a 1/2 L of blanc. We lived with it. Overall very good.
