What bparkercars likes about The Queens Head:
Small but traditional old pub in the old town with a small courtyard at the rear. Quaint. Popular with locals and worth seeking out. Very welcoming barman and nice atmosphere. Could do with a little more ale choice but a minor detail. View all feedback. What Dfurdog doesn't like about The Queens Head:
I visited the Queens Head on Sunday evening for a drink. It is a charming and well-designed pub in the historic old town. Unfortunately, my experience was ruined by a group of rowdy, drunk locals. While the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff create an inviting ambiance, experiences can vary significantly. Some patrons rave about the hearty, homemade pub fare and the exceptional value of Sunday roasts. The menu is complemented by a friendly family vibe, perfect for casual dining. However, others have noted issues with noise, a limited drink selection, and lapses in service, particularly during busier times. Despite its faults, The Queens Head remains a local favorite worth a visit for its heartwarming hospitality.
