Small but traditional old pub in the old town with a small courtyard at the rear. Quaint. Popular with locals and worth seeking out. Very welcoming barman and nice atmosphere. Could do with a little more ale choice but a minor detail. View all feedback.
What Dfurdog doesn't like about The Queens Head:
I visited the Queens Head on Sunday evening for a drink. It is a charming and well-designed pub in the historic old town. Unfortunately, my experience was ruined by a group of rowdy, drunk locals. The loud music and uninterested bartender on her phone further detracted from the experience. The beer selection was lacking and they had run out of most options. They also had limited wine choices and only offered warm mix... View all feedback.
Have been to this pub before on a Saturday night when they had some live music, had great atmosphere so planned a return trip. Saw they advertised a Sunday roast so thought it was worth a try. I have been to several local pubs and this is hands down the best in terms of overall value. I have paid twice the price at so called gastro pubs which cannot produce a decent roast dinner. Here the food here is honest, without any pretensions and well cooked. There is a good variety of roasts including a vegetarian option, decent portions of veg, lots of gravy and very tasty. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
One of the best sunday roast dinners in aylesbury! Great value real roast potatoes! Also a very friendly pub!

Tony was so helpful and accommodating when we held our Dads wake at The Queens Head. It’s a lovely, cosy pub and can’t thank Tony enough
