While some of th... read more I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at La Ribera, and I must say, it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. While some of the food was okay, the service was appalling and overshadowed any positives. When our waitress took our order, I explicitly stated that I only wanted tapas-sized dishes and pointed out everything I wanted. Everything seemed fine until the tuna arrived—only to be a massive portion, far from the tapas-sized plates I ordered. At the end of the meal, I called the manager over to address this issue. Frustratingly, no one had come to check on our meal, despite there being three staff members for just ten customers. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, the manager caused a scene by summoning the waitress who took my order, seemingly expecting to argue about who was at fault. I found this behavior unacceptable. I refused to pay for a dish I did not order, and the manager's response was, “Why didn’t you tell me when I placed the food down?” I mean, what difference would that make once the fish is already cooked? You can't uncook it or magically revert it to a smaller size. Overall, the service was incredibly slow, and the customer service was shockingly poor. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I cannot recommend La Ribera based on this experience.
