We drove 150 miles out of our way to eat here! Best She Crab Soup on the planet! Very friendly staff, courteous and attentive. Generous portions, great taste, a fun experience. Bring your family or group! Parking: Limited parking so get there early or late as the lot fills up. Food is so good it’s busy!!!

When you are dining in or getting takeout, you expect to receive the best hospitality. However, that was not the case here. I witnessed an employee sweeping just 10 feet away from a couple trying to eat while I waited for my takeout. I ended up getting a refund because this place is unsanitary.

We stopped at this restaurant for a late lunch while on vacation. We enjoy finding hidden, local spots to eat. The restaurant is a converted old grocery store, giving it a simple, charming atmosphere. The service was excellent, although it was a bit busy. Our drink orders were taken as we perused the menu and daily specials. Our drinks were promptly brought out along with a basket of hush puppies, and our orders were taken. We ordered senior Chicken tenders, shrimp, a vegetable plate, and the daily special, which was fried chicken livers. The variety of vegetables, including green beans, steamed squash, fried green tomatoes, fried okra, and sweet potato fries, were all delicious. The chicken tenders, shrimp, and chicken livers were also delicious. The chicken livers were fresh, hot, and crispy. We topped off our meal with a wonderful bourbon pecan pie. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience. Don't judge this restaurant by its exterior - it's definitely worth a visit.
