We arrived at the restaurant at 6:30 and were surprised to find it empty, leading us to believe that the service would be terrible. However, our server Guillermo was excellent. The only downside of the meal was that. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Metropolitan:
Good ambiance and friendly service. Food was good but even by Beaver Creek standards, it's pricey. $18 for two tiny tacos (see pic and some potato chips. Much quieter here than upstairs at the Dusty Boot, but a lack of customers tells another story. (note: Google maps currently shows separate listings/locations for The Met Kitchen and the Metropolitan but it's the same place, on the mid level and below the Dusty Boot... View all feedback.
Went 2 families and enjoyed the food, the service and was a great moment. Highly recommended and the desserts are very good !! Thanks a lot!
Went there with the family, each dish was excellent, shortrib was amazing....
We made this our restaurant of choice for our friend's Bachelorette party! We chose this place because the menu seemed pretty gluten free friendly and out bride is celiac. Unfortunately, the chef could only accommodate a few items on the menu, but we all agreed it was fabulous nonetheless. I had the short ribs and they were simply divine succulent and tender with a perfect matching glaze that wasn't too sweet. The waitress, was not very attentive and only checked once or twice, but she did note our celebration and offered for us to do a ski shot all together! The Casamigos was a bit overpriced, but I attribute this to bouncing back from the pandemic I usually come here every year with my family and this was no disappointment!
Most everything i tried here missed the mark. The Poke was too sweet and not savory at all. The recipe supposedly has soy sauce, but when i asked for some to offset how terribly bland the Poke was, they said they didn't have any. We also tried the crispy Brussels sprouts, which were swimming in a sweet, syrupy vinaigrette. The poke tacos and the lobster tacos were pretty good. The kid's chicken tenders were actually the best thing we ordered.
We were at a Beaver Creek conference and had a private happy hour for about 50 people at The Met. It was a great experience! The food selection was varied and each appetizer/dish was not only delicious, but was presented nicely-great chef! Edgar, the manager, was very personable and accommodating. The servers and staff were all very helpful and attentive. I would definitely recommend dining at The Met Kitchen!
