Unfortunately we went in looking to have a big feed but got given a very small sandwich for quite a bit of money. $4.50 for a bit of ham in a roll with a smashed tomatoes in a bowl. Coffee was coffee Service was good Good view of churchyard and great spot outside for people watching. Good for small eats.

A friendly atmosphere and ample space to sit in and outside... They often have a selection of homemade cakes with a gourmet touch which are delicious...Daily papers and nice atmosphere...And one of the best toilets ever! very clean and spacious... The only thing that could make it better would be a wider selection of vegetarian savory bites... Otherwise one of the best cafes in Aviles!

T... read more Three out of four breakfasts I had in Aviles were had in Panetela. They serve good food with a wide selection for breakfast, lovely black tea and fresh juice. This is a wonderfully decorated cafe and very clean, too! The waiters/counter assistants are very nice and did not mind that I didn't speak Spanish. I will definitely come back to this place if ever I am in this town again. A personal favourite. Cross the road from Panetela and you will be at the Santo Tomas church if you are a visiting tourist.
