I saw this place on Parts Unknown after Anthony Bourdain died. When I found out that I was going to Spain, I was bound and determined to find it. It didn't disappoint. I had a little trouble finding it, but a kind lady in the parking garage directed me to the right place. It is a bar with a couple of dining rooms, but it is rustic. Sawdust on the floor to absorb any extra falling cider. That being said, the food is outstanding. (José Andrés would not go to any place with sub-standard food. We had a mixed salad (One served enough for 3 or 4 people and a paella de marsicos (seafood . The lobster was cut into small pieces to make it easier to eat and there were at least four other kinds of seafood. It was soooo good! I spoke Spanish, so it was easy to communicate, but the staff was willing to speak in English, if needed. They showed me the picture of Anthony and José Andrés and we discovered that we were sitting at the same table. Go figure.

You could easily walk past this restaurant and miss the best restaurant in Aviles. It was suggested to us by our hotel, with a cross on a map. It is plain looking out the front, just the sign, and a bar before the restaurant. We poked our heads in to see locals drinking, and fortunately a delightful waitress ushered us out to the back. We may have turned back. Glad we didn 't. The ambience is 'to eat! '. No fuss or frills. Excellent table service by attentive waiters, friendly and welcoming to we English speaking tourists. We had the local cider, poured for us, what fun! The food was EXCELLENT and we 'll priced. If you are staying in the area, this restaurant is a must. You won 't be disappointed. All the locals were dining there too, and again were welcoming. Highly recommend this restaurant!

A family operation for sure, local crowd, no one speaks English or French but the menus are translated. Food was very good, pricey but good. You get tables and chairs, that’s it for ambience! Two us had veal medallions, breaded, very tasty, large portions. The other two had risotto in black squid sauce, they said it was the best they’ve had, again, large portions as were the salads we had.

This spot hss great food but the service is super bad . I was standing in the bar waiting for more than five minutes , while the waiters were talking , they saw me but their conversation was more inportant than their job (client) , so I left .
