What Shenise doesn't like about Oyevida Lifestyle Cafe:
Nice location. Friendly prompt staff. Food seemed a bit prepackaged. Prices little high for what you get when I compare to Mad Greens, Sweet Greens, and Panera Bread.Vegetarian options: Plenty of options. View all feedback.
I was really excited when I saw this place on DoorDash. The menu looked amazing and I love the healthy options. Now, I expect quality issues when I order delivery, cold food doesn’t bother me. My fiancé and I ordered two drinks, the breakfast burrito, the porridge and some toast. The toast and porridge were fine. The toast was actually really tasty. The breakfast burrito was terrible. The menu said there were eggs and sausage in it. All I got was a hard tortilla with weird meat pebbles, way too much cheese and spinach? There were no eggs in it. And the drinks… I ordered an iced chai latte and my fiancé got a pumpkin spice latte. I even added espresso to both drinks. What we received was iced milk and room temperature milk. I’m not kidding, there was no coffee or chai flavor to these drinks.Maybe breakfast isn’t the way to go here because their other menu items look awesome, but this was extremely disappointing. The least I would expect is decent coffee from a place that calls themselves a cafe.
Joss the barista is the best. Highly recommend her hazelnut latte. Sausage and egg burrito delicious ?
I visited Oyevida during their four days of free taste testing of select menu items and this is my review. Side note I’ve been ordering mochas and lavender lattes since they opened and those drinks are always great. Here is what my family I tried for food (pics are attached): Pancakes: they were fine if you need something quick on the go. I’d rather make from scratch at home. Chicken salad wrap: the chicken salad was very good. They will add things like onion, cucumber, tomato pepper which is nice for those people who don’t like all that already mixed in. The preparers just need to be careful about stems nobody wants to eat a cucumber or tomato stem. Egg sausage wrap: there was no egg which was perplexing but the sausage cheese were tasty. My daughter had it on Naan flatbread and she really liked it. Grain bowl: my vegetarian daughter tried this and really liked it except it was a little too spicy for her. Maybe ask for the sauce on the side. Avocado toast: we’ve had this before and it’s a solid menu item. They initially put balsamic glaze on it which really was delicious but no longer add it. The avocado tastes fresh and the seasoning sprinkled on it was tasty. Aveda comforting tea: a nice, sweet herbal tea with licorice, peppermint and fennel. Steak artichoke flatbread: The steak needed more flavor but all in all the item was good. The Naan flatbread is delicious.
