I visited Verbena for my wife's birthday, and we had a fantastic experience. Our server, Craig, was exceptional – he was friendly, courteous, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. He also provided excellent recommendations tailored to our preferences. For starters, we had the maple carrots and potato rosti, and for our main courses, we enjoyed the crispy seared chicken and carbonara. Everything was bea... View all feedback.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service was somewhat unusual, but the food was delicious and flavorful.
The brunch items on the menu looked appealing, but they didn't quite deliver when they arrived at our table. Three out of the four dishes had eggs that were improperly cooked; they were watery, as if they had been cooked in a water bath. The potatoes were overly seasoned, with a strong lemon taste. When my wife requested a new serving of eggs, our server Tina brought out an egg that looked like a pancake and was clearly microwaved. The only item that was cooked perfectly was the signature toast. This place really falls short of what it could be as a niche restaurant in Austin. On a positive note, the Bloody Marys were excellent, which helped to make the lackluster meal a bit more enjoyable.
Terrible experience. It took almost 2 hours for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, it was so over-salted that none of us could eat our meals.
The food at the restaurant is phenomenal. Everything we ate or drank was excellent. However, we had multiple 5-10 minute stretches (including when we first sat) where our server was nowhere in sight. Empty drinks, orders waiting to be put in. Once we finally ordered dinner, it was a full 50 minutes before it hit the table. This place is very under-staffed and needs to reduce seating or have more kitchen space.
Food was over salted. Noise level echo so high was unable to have any conversation with my companion. The waiter was doing his best considering that he had to cover dining room, bar and patio guests.
