The team at Uroko clearly takes great pride in the fish they serve. It’s exceptionally fresh, of high quality, and beautifully presented. Without a doubt, they have the best sushi rice in the city. This is a remarkable discovery—don't miss out on this hidden gem in Austin!

My husband and I had an amazing experience! The flavors were incredibly complex, the fish was fresh, and the plating was very creative. Every bite was delightful, and I particularly enjoyed the light shiso leaf underneath the fish. The textures were perfect, with just the right balance of rice and chewiness. The only downside? We wanted to order more, but the selection was limited since the fish is imported from Japan—haha. The amount of nigiri served was a fantastic value for the omakase price. As New Yorkers (born and raised), we find this to be on par with the quality of sushi in NYC, even better than Sushi by Bou, a similar sushi bar there. We will definitely be back!

We picked up the Valentine’s Day Omakase meal for two. Wow! 14 scrumptious pieces of fresh sushi, handsomely presented in wooden boxes with TWO yummy, beautiful desserts AND sake. Best Valentine’s Day choice ever. (Except perhaps enjoying it live at the intimate restaurant—maybe 2023!

Put down your chopsticks; this is the ultimate Omakase spot in town. Unlike some other places, this restaurant doesn’t take its time with a slow service. You’ll arrive, be seated, served promptly, and then you're on your way. Each bite is exquisite and presented in just the right sequence, without any awkward delays between courses. The sake flight is thoughtfully curated, but if you’re not in the mood for sake, they offer a great selection of other drinks. This sushi bar truly delivers on all its promises. Enjoy your meal!

Uroko offers the best value for omakase in Austin. You can enjoy a 10-piece omakase for under $100, and they consistently have a great selection of premium sake. The temaki during normal hours is also outstanding. I highly recommend trying the mackerel along with a bottle of Dassai 45. I can't wait to return for the sushi classes!
