**Trudy’s: A Mixed Bag of Vibes and Flavors** Trudy’s, recently renovated post-COVID, delivers a lively atmosphere ideal for casual gatherings, particularly for drinks over finger foods. While remarkable service and generous portions stand out, the food has received mixed reactions; many feel it lacks the exciting variety it once offered, with notable favorites becoming less impressive. Drinks, including the freshly crafted Mexican martinis, shine but can come at a steep price. Overall, Trudy's is best enjoyed as a vibrant spot for socializing rather than a culinary destination, appealing to patrons who prioritize ambiance and camaraderie over a diverse menu.

Absolutely fantastic, as always! We arrived and chose to sit at the bar. We shared a Mexican Martini, which was delightful, although it didn’t come with the usual pepper-stuffed olives—instead, we received regular green olives in each glass (I'm the only one who eats those), so I’ll overlook that. I specifically wanted the Migas Enchiladas with chipotle sauce, and they did not disappoint. I ordered refried beans and rice as my sides, both were excellent. This has been my favorite dish since I first had it 20 years ago. I was given the option of hashbrowns instead of beans, but I prefer beans with my enchiladas, so maybe I'll give that a try next time. My husband ordered the Tex-Mex Combo Plate, which featured two cheese enchiladas, a beef taco, rice, black beans, and guacamole on a bed of lettuce. He enjoyed every bite. I like the Guad location, but we always seem to find ourselves at North Star. Their breakfast buffet has consistently been my favorite in the entire Austin area. It looks like we’ll definitely be back for brunch next!

My wife and I had lunch at a Northern Austin restaurant on a Saturday and found plenty of parking available. The place wasn't too crowded, so we were seated immediately. We ordered the cheese enchiladas along with a side of guacamole, which was quite generous, though a bit on the expensive side. They also provide complimentary chips along with both red and green salsa, which were delicious! The enchiladas were fantastic, featuring thick, freshly made corn tortillas that really stood out. The service was exceptional, which is becoming increasingly rare these days. Our total bill came to $35.72, not including the tip, and included two soft drinks; they also have a selection of adult beverages. The restaurant offers plenty of seating options, with two levels to choose from.

Delicious food, fantastic cocktails, and excellent service! My friends and I enjoyed lunch on the outdoor patio, which had plenty of shade. The restaurant's interior is quite beautiful, and I saw there's a second full bar upstairs. Everyone loved their meals and drinks. Our server was outstanding!

The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance, whether you decide to eat inside or on the roomy patio. The food is outstanding, and the drinks are just as remarkable, especially the Mexican martinis. I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp enchiladas and shrimp tacos; both were delicious. This has become my favorite place in the north!

If it's your first time at Trudy's, you absolutely must try the Trudy's Combo. It includes all of the delicious specialties, plus the stuffed avocado! This dish has been praised countless times, and for good reason—it's truly amazing! I can't wait for my next visit to the Austin area so I can enjoy another meal at Trudy's.
