Was Anonym at Thoroughbread a mag?
we live in barton hills and are so happy to have a bakery in the neighboring, especially with the world's largest, most fantastic cookies! they are gooey and totally filled with tasty stuff like bananas / nuts and pb View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Thoroughbread:
I came here expecting the world from all the amazing reviews from others, but when actually trying it myself, I was a little underwhelmed. I only tried the cookies, so maybe the bread is better, but the cookies weren’t exactly amazing. It’s very much super bready, and I wouldn’t consider them “cookies”. Staff was kind, so thats nice.Honestly, if you want good gooey cookies, just make some at home View all feedback.

Staple of the Zilker neighborhood. Best sourdough and cookies around!!! Don’t miss the PB&J cookie.

It’s our fav. Isn’t a better sourdough. Also love the Rye sourdough!

Man finally found a place with awesome bread. This is the only place in Austin that you can get a loaf of bread that tasters like bread not like cotton pod. I’m originally from Europe and if you enjoy a tasty slice of bread I highly recommend this place.

Good sourdough bread. Place is very cozy but too cramped to eat in. The chocolate cookies are bangers

ThoroughBread, a quaint neighborhood bakery, garners mixed reactions from visitors. While some rave about the delightful breakfast offerings, such as the burridough and various cookies, others express disappointment with service issues and cookie texture. The menu showcases an impressive range, yet certain customers find the cookies overly bready and not as gooey as expected. Service critiques mention a lack of allergy accommodations and a rigid sampling policy. Despite these concerns, many appreciate friendly staff and commend the bakery's signature sourdough. Overall, ThoroughBread retains charm with its dedicated baked goods, though it may require some fine-tuning.

Inflation center. 57% price increase in 2021 for brottau. the sourdough was always decent (not exceptional, no crust to speak) but is certainly not worth $11

Best fresh best around, and love their breakfast hot pockets ?

I’m from Ann Arbor , Mi and I was staying with a friend in Austin . I walked 6 miles RT to buy 3 loaves of SD bread and several cookies to take back to Ann Arbor everything is THAT delicious! I froze a few items and when I defrosted them and warmed them up they tasted as fresh as if I just bought them that day ! This Guy and his bread cookies are worth every step in 100 degree heat !

The cookies at this restaurant are amazing. I tried the peanut butter and jelly, banana nutella, and pumpkin cream cheese, and they were all large, gooey, and filled to the brim with ingredients. They definitely don't hold back on portions here. I also enjoyed the avocado, egg, and cheese burrito. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the lemon blueberry rosemary scone because I found the rosemary to be overpowering, but that's just my preference. I wish they had more scone flavors to choose from. The restaurant is small with no seating inside, so it's best for grabbing your order and going.

The kids said 'Best cookies ever ' and I must agree. We got the chocolate chip and banana Nutella and they were perfectly done- warm and gooey on the inside!

The sweetest staff and the most delicious bread and, OMG, the cookies! The burridoughs are amazing, too, if on the heavy side. But if you want to treat yo-self, you can't pick a better place!

I finally visited ThoroughBread bakery yesterday and wow! I loved the banana nutella cookie which is out of this world! Chewy, goey and perfectly sweetened, love the texture and great quality ingredients. The sourdough olive bread is to die for! Congrats Ryan! This is going on my foodie tour of Austin. Highly recommended by a pastry chef.

I absolutely adore this bakery/cafe! My Airbnb is nearby in South Lamar, and we walked through the charming neighborhood to get here. The bakery bakes their bread in the style of Tartine bakery, using cast iron skillets. The sourdough bread is wonderfully crunchy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it. They also serve great coffee, cookies, and have friendly bakers. Make sure to stop by if you have the opportunity!
