Supper Friends at Swoop House is a staple in Austin for pop-up dinners. We have been attending for almost 9 years now and continue to return for the fun, delicious food, and great ambiance. The themed meals are usually 5 courses and well thought out. The passed appetizers are a favorite, with 3 different types of tasty bites to enjoy while waiting for dinner. Wine pairing is available and the staff, including the wait staff, sommelier, chef, and owner, are all attentive and friendly. We hope to see more dinner events in the future as we eagerly anticipate the next one after our last visit a few months ago. We can't wait to return!

I had an amazing experience at Supper Friends! This charming restaurant is located in a small house with beautiful grounds to enjoy in the spring. The concept behind Supper Friends is to have a meal with conversation, as tables are set up in groups of eight or more. Guests are seated with others, greeted with a cocktail and hors d'oeuvres, and then served a themed multi-course meal from appetizers to desserts. The food is always delicious and the conversations range from light-hearted to serious. Cell phones are not allowed at the table, so guests can fully engage with each other. Be sure to check the calendar and sign up for a unique dining experience at Supper Friends.

After eagerly anticipating a reservation at SWOOP House for months, I finally had the chance to experience their Cajun/Creole inspired fixed price dinner. The 5 course menu was a preview of what will be offered at their upcoming restaurant, Sawyer Co. The setting was charming, with communal seating in a restored cottage with wood floors and chandeliers. Despite my efforts to save room for the meal, I couldn't resist indulging in the delicious passed hors d'oeuvres and ended up feeling quite full early on. The main courses were equally delicious, with standout dishes including Crawfish Etouffee and Fried Gulf Oyster Salad. However, the meatloaf had some issues with bone chips, which was disappointing. The dessert, King Cake Bread Pudding, was too much for my already full stomach, but it made for a tasty breakfast the next day. Overall, the food, staff, and atmosphere were wonderful, and I would definitely consider returning for a special occasion.
