Reviews - Quezzas
Reviews summary
Nestled in Rainey Street’s food‑truck scene, Quezzas serves creative, gourmet-style pizzas and Mexican-inspired pies with standout sauces and a crisp thin crust. Pricing feels fair and service can be quick and friendly during off-peak hours, but experiences vary: orders sometimes lack advertised toppings and multiple patrons report unauthorized charges, delayed or missing refunds, and spotty email follow-up. Great for casual pizza lovers seeking inventive flavors, but handle payments and receipts with care.

A $200.00 tip was added to my card without my consent (on a $14.00 order) here. Swipe your own card and make sure you get a receipt! Also, be sure to run through all of the options on the tablet and don't leave the tip option up. I?m all for tipping, but an almost 1400% tip wasn't in the cards for that night. I?ll follow up with some positive the food was great thatwasn't the issue. I had initially reached out to both my credit card company and the owners of Quezzas at the same time.American Express ultimately decided that they considered it was a valid charge, because I informed them that I was indeed makinga purchase at the time. They care about the swipe, not what comes after. If you don't slide the card yourself and add your owntip (or decline to), anything can be added and you'll be liable. One of the owners of Quezzas DID respond to me very quickly, and let me know that he would investigate and refund great! He was also very professional/cordial/willing to help, butultimately did not rectify the situation, even after saying they would, and after three months of back and forth via email. Heinitially said that because I disputed with AMEX, that he had to provide documentation to Square (the payment processor) and gothrough a waiting period before being able to refund me. That's fair, but we?re way past any waiting period. He also said thathis payment processor is telling him it was refunded, but I confirmed with American Express that it was not (as an extra step, because I knew for a fact I did not get a refund on any of my statements since the incident). I gave them more than enoughopportunity to rectify this situation, but unfortunately at this point the only thing I can do is write this review and hope toprevent others from experiencing the same thing. I've written off the money at this point, but I want to be sure that peopleare aware when eating here. As of today, I?m getting a bounce back when I follow up via email. Not sure if they?re
This place doesn?t deserve their own business. Waste of space. Third time visiting and had terrible service. And charged my card DOUBLE the amount and wouldn?t give me a refund
Pizza was ok. The meat lovers was decent but the pepperoni pizza was definitely lacking. Too much cheese and not enough dough to cut the saltiness of everything.
Best mexican pizza I've had! Plus super nice awesome guy running the truck. Next time I'm in Austin, that's my first stop!
I ordered the pepperoni pizza and found it to be very tasty. The crust reminds me of a better version of the common thin crusts found elsewhere. Service was great and fastest of all other Rainey St food options I?ve tested. I visited during off peak hoursand found the location to be quite cozy. Pricing is fair. Pizza sauce was delicious.

I have tried almost all of the Quezzas on the menu and you really can't go wrong with any of them. Don't forget the queso and dipping sauces... it's truly gourmet quality food at food-truck prices in an excellent location. One of Austin's best kept secrets.
I tried the pepperoni pizza and thought it was delicious. The crust was like an improved version of the typical thin crusts you find elsewhere. The service was excellent and the fastest compared to other Rainey St food spots I’ve tried. I came during off-peak hours and found the atmosphere to be very cozy. Prices were reasonable, and the pizza sauce was fantastic.
The food at Quezzas was excellent and definitely the best part of my experience. However, I encountered an issue with my payment that I addressed with both my credit card company and the restaurant’s owners. American Express stated my payment was valid since a purchase was made, but they only review the transaction itself, not what happens afterward. If you don’t manually enter your card and select or decline a tip, there's a risk that charges could be added without your consent, and you could be held responsible. One of Quezzas’s owners responded quickly to my concern, professionally offering to investigate and refund me, which was reassuring. Unfortunately, the problem wasn’t resolved. He explained that due to my dispute with AMEX, he had to submit documents to the payment processor and wait before issuing a refund. Although I understand this process, the waiting period has now long passed. The owner said their processor claimed the refund had been completed, but American Express confirmed no refund appeared on my statements. I feel I’ve given the restaurant plenty of time to fix this, but I’m left with no choice but to share my experience so others can avoid similar issues. I've accepted the loss, but I want future customers to be cautious. Since then, I’ve also had trouble receiving emails from Quezzas—I’m unsure if it’s a technical issue or if I’ve been blocked.
Quezzas should not be in business. It's a complete waste of space. I've been there three times, and each visit the service was awful. To make things worse, my card was charged twice the amount from the menu, and they refused to refund me.
