Phonatic offers a diverse menu that caters to everyone’s tastes. I particularly enjoy the street tacos and the rice bowl with tofu.
The pho was just average. The broth lacked depth of flavor, and there weren't many herbs provided on the side. The portion size was decent, and it was served very hot, which I appreciated. However, the noodles were slightly overcooked, and the steak was pre-cooked rather than served raw in the bowl, resulting in it being overcooked as well. On the plus side, the food arrived quickly. I’d suggest trying the rice dishes instead.
I visit this restaurant frequently. The portion sizes are generous, the service is quick, and the dining area is very clean. The prices are quite reasonable, and the takeout is excellent as well.
I ordered grilled pork vermicelli, bánh mì, and sliders. The food tastes good but is not 100% authentic. The grilled pork in the vermicelli is a little bit dried. It seems like they grilled it before and warmed it up as the order came through. For approx $15, it might be a little bit expensive for the quality in my opinion. The bánh mì is good. I like how they have all the veggies and a good amount of meat. I'd order this again. The sliders are also good. They have a bit of mayonnaise in them so that's a really different.
