**Discovering Pho Please: A Mixed Culinary Experience**
Pho Please offers a lively dining adventure on Riverside, featuring enticing dishes like delectable bao buns and appetizing egg rolls. While many patrons rave about the generous portions and quick service, some find certain items, especially the children's menu, lacking flavor. The pho is generally well-received, though opinions diverge on its richness and spice levels. Diners appreciate a variety of options, including vegan and meat dishes, all within a cozy, clean environment. Despite occasional inconsistencies, the warmth of the staff and the vibrant atmosphere keep guests returning for a comforting meal.
Was Anonym at Pho Please a mag?
Walked in and realized that you ordered first and then sit wherever you’d like which was different but not in a bad way. What Anonym dislikes about Pho Please:
It's counter serve only; no waiters. Shrimp rolls were fine, but pho broth was very oily and tasted of excess soy sauce. The flank was too fatty, more like brisket. I would not recommend this place for true pho connoisseurs. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 View all feedback.

I like the idea of it being a fast casual restaurant, like they give you a plate of veggies and such for your dish but if you’re looking for more, then there’s a station where you help yourself. There’s also utensils and everything else at the table itself so it’s efficient in a way where you don’t have to bother others for things you need while being able to enjoy your food. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

While the service was great and restaurant was nice and clean, the pho fell short. I ordered the Pho Please (which had all the meats in it) and the broth was bland even after adding the sauces, lime, and herbs, and the tái was tough and took me awhile to swallow. The other meats were good though and dipping them in hoisin and sriracha made it even better. The spring rolls and Thai tea were also good. I didn’t order the egg rolls, but I was disappointed when I saw that they give you sweet and sour sauce with it instead of nuoc cham. They do have a bottle of pure fish sauce at their self service sauce bar, but it just makes it less authentic. It was expensive too and I wasn’t expecting to pay $43 (not including tip). I grew up in Houston so my expectations for Vietnamese restaurants are high. I would skip this place and head to the Vietnamese restaurants in North Austin. The main reasons why I came here was because I’ve been craving pho for a couple of days since the weather started getting cold and it was the most convenient option on the way home from class and it had a rating of 4.5 stars. I usually order either a pho or a lemongrass vermicelli. Both are good and offer great value for the price. I also enjoy the interior design of the place and it seems the staff keep it clean at all time
Great pho, great portions, great ingredients. The preparation was fast, and everything tasted good even with take out. I liked the bean sprouts! The soup was bland and not super rich. I had better bowls of pho and this one didn?t blow my mind. Perhaps, having it in store would have been better. Price was good! Recommended and will come back for the other dishes!
I absolutely love Pho Please. I come here whenever I feel sad or need something warm in my soul or even just for some good tasty clean eating. I always leave full and happy and I will always recommend this to my friends and family. The staff and owneris always so incredibly kind and accommodating if we want to change or remove an ingredient! (We always change our noodles toVermicelli noodles???? The broth is so flavorful and everything is cooked to perfection. This resturant is definitely a hiddensecret on Riverside and I don?t mind driving the extra 30 minutes to get a nice hot bowl of Pho. They have vegan options, brisket, beef, seafood and chicken bowls as well as rice and dry noodle dishes. Their bahn mi is absolute fire, made with athick loaf of bread and fresh ingredients. Did I mention they have boba? Beer and fountain drinks too! Something for the entirefamily. The inside is spacious with many tables that they assign to you AFTER you place your order. Large windows give plentyof natural light and large tables for large families! (We always get an order of Vegan Pho Chay with a side of brown sugar milktea boba and crab Rangoons!
They PHO sho PLEASED me with their VEGETABLE egg rolls Yummy))TODAY!! I'd order a PARTY PACK of those NO QUESTION ????. TY!! However, their Pho Please Soup was not so GOOD! But hey, everyone has their OWN preference...so its all good!
This place was suggested. I grew up in Little Saigon (San Jose, CA so I know a little about Pho. At this place you can order your food up front, but hope for an open table. Ordered the Pork Bao Buns and the spicy lemongrass bun bo hue, and of coursethe iced coffee (Cà Phê S?a ?á . Iced coffee: On point!!! No need for more info. Bao Buns: Amazing and stuffed! Micdrop? Bun Bo Hue: Overly spicy. Too much too soon. Leaves no room to add any more heat. In my opinion the over-spiciness hidesthe lack of ?UMAMI? that one would come to expect with this particular type of pho. Question? why are Pho places in Austinafraid to add a little more noodle? Is there a shortage? The meat content was perfect, but short on the noodles. Very fastservice. I will be coming back to try the basic beef pho?

Ehh, it’s just okay. The pho broth is super dark like they use a pho packet not freshly made. The spring rolls were very good. The egg rolls were super thin kind of like lumpia. The banh mi had zero flavor. The bread could have been toasted more. The service and music were nice though. The interior was cleanly.
If you want a fat-rich Bao pork sandwich, then this is the place to go. Well over 50 of what is in the Bao is 100 pork fat. Not my idea of a good 4.5 star Google rated meal. Hmmmm tasty fat! Same with the pork salad. Maybe even a higher . Wow. Hardly what was expected at a 4.5 Google rated restaurant.
The food here was amazing. We ate here two days in a row. The pork rice paper roll appetizer was better than expected, and the pho was delicious with so many types of great quality meat, but the real star was the beef short ribs. Top notch for a reasonable price.
I was quite disappointed with the customer service at this restaurant. While I understand that everyone has off days, that's no excuse for bringing negative energy into the workplace. My drink was initially prepared incorrectly; it came without the boba I had paid extra for. When I politely requested that it be remade, the server simply transferred the old drink into a new cup rather than making a fresh one. This led to some particles floating in the drink, which looked unappealing and made me ask for it to be remade once more. The server returned with an attitude, dropped the drink on the table rudely, and walked away without apologizing for the mistake or the inconvenience. This is clearly poor customer service, and the unfriendly atmosphere was apparent from the moment I placed my order. When I addressed the issue with the manager, she did apologize for the staff member's behavior and offered me complimentary appetizers, but I felt that poor customer service shouldn’t be brushed aside so easily, so I declined. I won't be coming back. Additionally, I've noticed a troubling trend in Austin regarding rude service, particularly towards people of color. It's truly unacceptable for staff to tarnish a business's reputation like this.
