Feedback
At Hotel Zaza's dining venue, experiences diverge dramatically, reflecting a blend of ambiance and service challenges. While the restaurant boasts a beautifully curated environment and quality meals, such as a standout brisket burger and flavorful garlic fries, the service often disappoints. Inexperienced staff lead to confusion—like unclear ordering procedures and slow drink service. Patrons have noted high prices for minimal service, with some meals lacking execution, like overcooked bacon. However, the vibrant atmosphere, efficient breakfast options, and attentive moments from staff like Vincent and James suggest potential if the staffing issues are addressed. Overall, a mixed but promising experience awaits.
A friend and I made a small trip to perfect strangers for the uo so amazing breakfast tacos our barista vincent was super sweet and recommended to drink the strawberry fields and die the vanille cappuccinos for thank you so much we will visit again soon.
I came here with my partner for Valentine's Day dinner. we ordered the menu “fixed price” that came to $200 in total. I am not concerned about the price, as this was a special occasion. but the quality of the food was disappointing and seemed to decrease with each successive cure. starter: brie, feige and prosciutto crostini offered promising aromen, but were too big and very filled. salat: saat with pistachios. well dressed and delicious, but very neat. there was really nothing about this salat except how enormous it was, almost a whole boxed mixed greens with vinaiigrette, pomegranate and cheese. the choice to fried the lobster, cultivated an already heavy meal. everything was served over too salty cheeses. the best part were the crispy, beautified brittle sprouts. dessert: what they expect to be the crowing jewel of a romantic meal was the greatest disappointment. my, the “fruit license note” was a fudling and, honestly, served coarse cherry cake with cherry sauce and roasted pepitas. the builders just didn't belong. but the worst part was that the baked was both cold and old, the herbal shortening taste (and greasy floor) reminded of a tankstelle handpise. my partner has been served what we believe to be a sortiment of food snacks — fat, stale kartoffel chips, stale churros, stale food business biscuits, underripe strawberries and stale, definitiw not restaurant-baked bananenbrot — with rusty of chocolate and dulce de leche sauce to dip. the sauces were the only good part. I can see when a dessert is good and I just don't like it by personal taste. but they were lawfully bad. they would have been better to make a batch of cream brûlée or mouse tassen. the only rise was the creativity and mood of desserts. otherwise, bad menu planning and execution. not sure that I will return to the din here.
Came here for a Tequila 512 event and ended up eating at the bar. It was a dreary Friday night, but there were people at quite a few tables and overall the vibes in here are beautifully curated as is the rest of Hotel Zaza. You could tell right off the bat this place is understaffed. There were two bartenders and either the cocktails are too complicated or they're making drinks for the entire hotel because they were in the weeds and the bar wasn't even fully seated. We got a round of free drinks from Tequila 512, and ordered two burgers. I added bacon to mine and swapped out the fries for garlic fries. I was splitting with a friend and they cut the burger and split the whole entree onto two plates, which I think is a great touch. The burger was very well seasoned and I looooved the garlic fries. If you like thin and crispy, these are the fries for you. We were considering getting another round of drinks, but it took about thirty minutes to flag a bartender (and we were sitting AT the bar) to close out our tabs. On top of that, they hold your credit card once you open the tab so you can't even leave and let the 20% autograt tip out at the end of the night. That was pretty annoying, and based on other reviews, seems to be the norm here. I hope they can staff up, because the food and drinks were pretty good. And the bathroom may be the nicest bathroom I've ever been in
