It was a dreary Friday night, but there were people at quite a few tables and overall the vibes in here are beautifully curated as is the rest of Hotel Zaza. You could tell right off the bat this place is understaffed. There were two bartenders and either the cocktails are too complicated or they're making drinks for the entire hotel because they were in the weeds and the bar wasn't even fully seated. We got a round of free drinks from Tequila 512, and ordered two burgers. I added bacon to mine and swapped out the fries for garlic fries. I was splitting with a friend and they cut the burger and split the whole entree onto two plates, which I think is a great touch. The burger was very well seasoned and I looooved the garlic fries. If you like thin and crispy, these are the fries for you. We were considering getting another round of drinks, but it took about thirty minutes to flag a bartender (and we were sitting AT the bar) to close out our tabs. On top of that, they hold your credit card once you open the tab so you can't even leave and let the 20% autograt tip out at the end of the night. That was pretty annoying, and based on other reviews, seems to be the norm here. I hope they can staff up, because the food and drinks were pretty good. And the bathroom may be the nicest bathroom I've ever been in
