Feedback
An OG that didn't live up to the hype sadly. Stopped by while visiting Austin because of the rave reviews and honestly all the dishes were just fine. The flavors weren't anything to write home about, not matching our expectations or the price we paid for them. The cat chilling on the couch was my favorite part of the meal if that tells you anything. I will say that the location is pretty cool. Tons of outdoor seating with some additional indoor seating if sitting in the Texas heat isn't your thing. The people were super nice too, explaining the menu and giving us a nice intro to the space. But what is a restaurant if everything except the food stands out? I wanted to love it but I just couldn't. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that they were just having a bad day.
Not bad but disappointed.. This place has been on my to-try list for at least a year but after trying their food, I was underwhelmed. It wasnt bad by any means but they are average, nothing crazy to write home about. I had the lemon thyme pasta and meatball on the side. The pasta was dry and meatball was soft but tastes too tomato-y, acidic and lacking a balanced flavor. Their garlic bread is good but is a little heavy/fatty. Seating was mostly outdoor with covers, we had rain that day so the wind and rain was splashing us a bit. You ordered at the counter and staff will bring the order to your table. Compared to a similar hyped and Italian food truck business model, I like Artipasta better.
