The kitchen and counter is wel... read more Best McDonald's in Austin! I love McDonald's and have tried McDonald's locations all over Austin and this one is by far the best. The kitchen and counter is well-run and efficient. The managers have a high level attention to detail and customer service. They have their systems down like a well-oiled machine. They have an ordering kiosk, app ordering and delivery. All this to say, it's the quality and taste of the food that make it the best. The food is cooked thoroughly and seasoned well. It's not greasy or cold. The fries are perfectly cooked and salted. The fountain drinks are fresh, bubbly and crisp. They always have Happy Meal toys for the last est collectibles. The customers are regular and happy. People wouldn't think to come here because it is inside a Wal-Mart Superstore, but I'm telling you, it will not disappoint. The Wal-Mart where this McDonald's is located allows travelers to sleep in their parking lot, which is really convenient! So every other morning, we wake up in our cozy little Chevy Malibu (we call it MalibuBarbie), grab some coffee, Kevita, and a bite from McDonald's. I think the staff is starting to recognize me as a regular, as they gave me a complimentary hash brown with my meal. I wanted to express my gratitude for that here, since I tend to be a bit quiet in person, haha. My breakfast sandwiches are always fresh and tasty, and hash browns make the perfect addition!
