Was Matt Jackson at Man Bites Dog a mag?
I would suggest not eating the Cartoon Dog. This dog is an attempt to make something unique that get's people talking. The combination of Cap'n Crunch Cereal, PB Jelly with a Hot Dog just don't work. The Bratwurst dog on the other hand is amazing! It comes on a Pretzel Bun with sauerkraut and spice brown mustard. I always order the vegetarian dog option and they are pretty good. They've gone from trailer to restaurant and are making the transition look easy. I've always had a soft spot for the hot dog and it's great to see places like this and Frank leading its resurgence. It's hard to pick just one but bacon wrapping a hot dog is a great way to make a winner. So I'll go with the hair of the dog, which adds cheese, chili, a fried egg, and tabasco to the bacon wrapped goodness to create ~1200 calories of pleasure. It's easy to eat 2-3 hot dogs at home, right? Well don't do that here because these things are massive once they get covered in toppings. One is plenty!
I absolutely loved this place! I visited for the first time and found it to be a relaxed spot with delicious hot dogs and light appetizers that won't weigh you down. The fountain drinks are incredibly refreshing as well. They do offer vegetarian options, though I didn't get a chance to try them. I highly recommend giving it a shot!
