Was Sonia at Lin Asian Dim Sum a mag?
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. After hearing many positive reviews, we decided to try the weekend dim sum brunch, and it certainly lived up to and surpassed our expectations! We enjoyed the Baby Bok Choy, Chinese Stuffed Eggplant, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, crispy Turnip Cakes, Shitake Chicken Sui Mai, Basil Chicken Dumplings, Chicken Taro Egg Rolls, Shanghai Soup Dumplings, and steamed Egg Cream Buns.... What Leo' Travel dislikes about Lin Asian Dim Sum:
The restaurant has limited parking, but I managed to find a spot. The staff was friendly, but the food was only average. Reservations are definitely required. While the ingredients were fresh, I'd rate the authenticity a 5 out of 10. I highly advise against ordering the single giant seafood soup dumpling—it was terrible! Overall, the food was just okay. I might consider visiting other Lin Qi locations, but not this o... View all feedback.
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. After hearing many positive reviews, we decided to try the weekend dim sum brunch, and it certainly lived up to and surpassed our expectations! We enjoyed the Baby Bok Choy, Chinese Stuffed Eggplant, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, crispy Turnip Cakes, Shitake Chicken Sui Mai, Basil Chicken Dumplings, Chicken Taro Egg Rolls, Shanghai Soup Dumplings, and steamed Egg Cream Buns. Everything was beautifully prepared and utterly delicious, especially the soup dumplings. The staff was incredibly friendly and engaged well with the customers. We can't wait to return for more!
This restaurant is a fantastic choice for brunch. I booked a reservation for 10:30 AM a week ahead through Resy, and everything went seamlessly. The skin on the soup dumplings was incredibly thin and delightful. The atmosphere is bright and airy, striking a perfect balance between casual and upscale. The lanterns add a charming detail that would enhance the ambiance, particularly for a more intimate evening. They also have a well-stocked bar! I highly recommend trying the giant seafood dumpling, yuzu shrimp, Dan Dan noodles, and the Shanghai soup dumplings (XLBs).
The food here is excellent, and the cocktails are a lot of fun. It's quite busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation. When we arrived, there was a considerable line waiting for them to open. Just a heads up, they will ask you to leave the table once you've finished eating.
The soup dumplings are outstanding. The pineapple puff pastry is a treat, reminiscent of a homemade pie crust that your grandmother would make. The Chinese sausage rice is fantastic, especially when paired with a hint of chili sauce. The salt and pepper shrimp is absolutely phenomenal. I would give it a perfect 10/10 and highly recommend it to anyone seeking to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine.
When it comes to Dim Sum, the experience can really vary—either a complete letdown or a delightful one. This restaurant definitely falls into the latter category, providing amazing food that boasts excellent flavors and generous portions. The dumplings were exceptional—full of flavor and wonderfully tender, making them a true treat. The Hawaiian chicken paired with the peanut sauce was delicious, and it complemented the Dan Dan noodles perfectly. The only reason I’m giving it a four-star review instead of five is the beef potstickers; they were a bit lacking in flavor, and I didn’t particularly enjoy them. Overall, though, I was very pleased with our dinner!
