Reviews - Koriente
Reviews summary
Koriente emerges as a beloved gem in Austin’s dining scene, primarily for its diverse, nutritious offerings catering to all diets, including vegan and gluten-free options. While many rave about the flavorful dishes and generous portions, a prevailing critique centers on the restaurant's ambiance—marked by outdoor seating, plastic utensils, and a lack of indoor dining. Despite these drawbacks, patrons appreciate the friendly and knowledgeable staff, low-sodium meals, and affordable prices. With a renowned mango boba and hearty entrees like spicy chicken and bibimbap, Koriente remains a top choice for a healthy, satisfying meal in a casual setting.

Fresh, fast, healthy!Very nice spot for a quick lunch take out or delivery. It came in quite quick! It is a very balanced and healthy Asian food option. The flavours are bland, but enjoyable if you’re on a healthy diet. Only thing is that the meat and vegetables side was a little saltier to my taste. View all feedback.
What Gia Armani dislikes about Koriente:
The service was wonderful but the mango milk tea boba was not at all what I expected. It felt more like a fruit purée than milk tea, and there were such few tapioca pearls in the tea. View all feedback.

I love Koriente and have been getting delicious food here since they opened but I?m sad to see the service and quality going down hill a bit. No dine in service, everything is in a plastic container. The food flavor is still delicious but I think itwould have been more enjoyable without the guilt of wasting plastic containers. I hope Koriente goes back to providingdelicious food with less waste. Maybe consider compostable containers and not using single use bags for take out orders.
Maybe a lot of vegetarians are posting reviews but I don?t understand the rating of this place. To start, I should?ve turned around and left when I read the no indoor dining sign. Sitting on the patio they do have misters which is helpful in 100 degreeweather. Ordered the Teriyaki Chicken. I feel like I got microwaved chicken thighs on a bed of bland rice with some unseasonedbroccoli and carrots. I don?t get it. Much better options for Asian inspired food in the area.
This is definitely one of my favorite spots in Austin. I love eating here because its healthy and delicious. I prefer the teriyaki chicken over the spicy chicken. The dumplings are amazing too! I don't think I have ever had a dumpling with thisfilling making it unique. It's also extremely reasonably priced. Also the food holds up really well even thought its takeoutonly!
I had the Obake Bowl A with tofu and rice noodles. It wasn't too flavorful. Had a soy sauce taste. I'll get something else next time.
Update 20 Dec: mostly photos but still worth ordering 5 Oct: So ive had a few more items and its definitely good. The chicken is always moist not dry, the noodles are well cooked, and veggies soft. Most items ive had i would add garlic or a meat to it. The size always fills me up for lunch. When you ask for spicy, yes its spicy. So ill continue to get food from here. Also its still through grubhub and never had a problem or missing item from them. (Old review from here, Im giving 2 cause ive only eaten it once as a delivery from grubhub. I asked for spicy on an Obake B bowl. Theres seeds from the peppers that meh dont make it taste that great. I know thats where the heat comes from but its annoying. Once i order more items from this place my rating will be different but for now only once its 2 stars. Wish they had kimchi as a side.

I absolutely love Koriente! The restaurant has a cozy and intimate atmosphere, and the menu offers outstanding dishes. The service is truly exceptional. The beef bowl was incredible—the generous portions of meat made it an unforgettable meal!
Koriente is a small yet bustling restaurant that handles a large number of takeout orders. I chose to dine in and enjoyed a delicious bowl of sautéed mushrooms with sweet potato noodles.

Overall I would recommend this place if you’re visiting Austin. I had the ahi tuna and my son the teriyaki. My husband had the curry and wasn’t a fan but it’s because he’s not a fan of curry LOL.
Homie, low key, legit eats. Don’t sleep on this place spicy chicken, ahi tuna, summer rolls were all great loved getting to try their new (maybe here to stay? kimchi. The story on the wall entering the back set the tone for a great meal.
The food here is delicious. I was in Austin for a conference, recently, and this restaurant was within walking distance of the convention center. I had the Pan-Seared Ahi Tuna (cooked medium at an employee's suggestion even though I normally eat it rare), miso soup, and peach ginger tea. They give great portions and the food was delicious (I didn't take a picture before I dug in, unfortunately). I was also eyeing the Lemon Pepper Papaya salad, so I decided to go back again the next day. That was my absolute favorite and I added salmon to make it more filling. The restaurant is quaint with indoor and outdoor seating in the heart of the city. The service was great and they gave me a complimentary miso soup the next day, I assume because I either came back two days in a row or because I brought new folks with me the second time. Either way, it was appreciated. If I'm ever in Austin again, I will definitely be back.
Great place for a quick, affordable meal with quality ingredients that will leave you craving more! The atmosphere/ambiance wasnt anything to write home about (it wouldnt be any kind of centerpoint for a date, for examole) but this is a great spot for a launchpad to start a night out. I will be back next time im in the neighborhood!

I felt that the dishes were worth the piece and they were a great mix of being unique and great tasting. I wish I could sit inside but I understand that every restaurant has its way of doing things. Please clean the tables for your customers outside as it’s limited seating. The parking is an issue and you want to keep your car in vision in the area.Overall, it is a good place to pick up a quick lunch if you are in downtown!

Japanese curry chicken was really great and the mix mix bibimbap is fresh and healthy with the tuna.Koriente is a great option if you’re looking for a healthy or consistent meal. My go-to when I don’t know what to get down town.

Hot dog, that was good. But to be clear: there are no hot dogs here. Fast, friendly service. Limited outside seating on the patio, but I didn't wait long at noon on a Tuesday. Dumplings and japchae. Both excellent quality.

Great place to grab lunch to go — so good I ate here twice while in Austin. Super friendly staff. The first visit they gave me a drink on the house and the second visit, free soup! Def recommend the mix mix bowl.
Amazing!! Tried this place for the first time and both meals we ordered were fantastic. Also, the staff was really helpful and kind.

Definitely should be rated top. Healthy options and also gits a vegan, vegetarian and meat eater. Beautiful spin on Asian cuisine. Appropriate price
