This place was quite tasty and a great place to hang out with friends and family. Their burgers are slightly reminiscent of shortstop burgers but that's not a bad thing the only reason why I don't give it a five stars is because it's not open 24 hours anymore which I understand to a certain extent but still. What Paramount bar and restaurant doesn't like about Jim's:
Will never return to eat at this disgusting place ... the new management there is a bunch of racist... we asked to be sat in Faye section we were told she was busy even tho the diner was empty.. we were sat in the back at a round booth and never received service.. as we get up to walk out we see Faye and she says she was just fired ..to my knowledge she has been working there 14yrs and is the best server there.. we w... Food is good, I recommend pancakes or waffles. It just gets busy and not enough wait staff for the demand. They juggle to many tables so service suffers. Overall a decent austin favorite and I would go back again.
I ordered the grilled tilapia with rice pilaf and green beans and it was Delicious! I also brought a slice of coconut cream pie home with me and it was just as good. I will definitely return.
I love it here. I’d eat here for every meal if I could!
Waffles were dry and coffee didn't taste good more like water and coffee. Jim's needs to change quality of coffee.
For 25 years, Jim’s has been a weekly ritual. Always friendly, always delicious.
