El Arroyo is a popular spot in Austin known for its iconic sign and unique merch. The outdoor seating vibes are great, especially on a beautiful day. However, the food can be hit or miss. Some dishes like the burrito may lack in meat and be too spicy for some, but other options like the fajitas or enchiladas are delicious. The margaritas are strong but pricey. Service can vary, with some guests having positive experiences with attentive waitstaff, while others have mentioned issues with drink refills. The atmosphere is eclectic and authentic, making it a must-visit spot for those in Austin. If you're a fan of spicy food and quirky charm, El Arroyo is worth a visit.

Super glad I dropped in while on a work trip. The sign lured me in, but the green mole will bring me back! The staff I spoke to were also very attentive and kind. Totally worth the trip.

Really small place and the food is good for the most part. I just don’t recommend the burrito it’s very very little meat maybe 3 or 4 ounces at best and the rest is tomato with a touch of lettuce it’s size is very deceiving due to this. The beans are really good along with chips and queso though. The fajita tacos are good they just don’t give lime with it unfortunately.

The food was outstanding. Unfortunately, our waiter forgot to refill our drinks and didn't bring us the check. However, we were mainly there for the food, which did not disappoint. The bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers stuffed with chicken and cheese were amazing—I highly recommend them. The El Arroyo Special was also fantastic.

This is a very small restaurant, but the food is generally quite good. However, I wouldn't suggest ordering the burrito; it contains very little meat—probably only 3 or 4 ounces at most—and is mostly packed with tomatoes and a bit of lettuce, which makes it somewhat deceptive in terms of size. On a positive note, the beans are excellent, and the chips and queso are tasty. The fajita tacos are also enjoyable, but unfortunately, they don’t come with lime.

The food was outstanding. However, our server was not very attentive when it came to refilling our drinks and forgot to bring us the bill. That said, our primary focus was the food, which definitely met our expectations—it was fantastic. The bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers stuffed with chicken and cheese were particularly well made, and I would highly recommend that dish. The El Arroyo special was also quite impressive.
