The Walleye with rice pilaf and a touch of vegetables was amazing! Friends had the chicken pot pie, which is a hearty meal and thesteak with onion strips that looked absolutely mouth watering. After our meal, the chef came out personally and asked how thingswent. He explained how the fish is procured and little tidbits on food prep. James Place is smaller with a casual atmosphere,the food and service were excellent!

It might be easy to miss this modest establishment while driving by, but it's absolutely worth stopping in. The service is both attentive and laid-back. The onion soup and calamari appetizers are outstanding, leading to thick, flavorful pork chops paired with incredible potato pancakes, and a seared angel food cake for dessert. A meal for four, including drinks and dessert, totaled $220. While it might not be the most inexpensive option, the experience is certainly worth the cost.
