The exploration of a local Filipino restaurant presents a varied tapestry of experiences. While some patrons praise the delicious authenticity of dishes like Pad Thai and Mami soup, others express disappointment over recent changes in ownership, which may have diluted authentic flavors. Issues such as slow service and small portion sizes at high prices have frustrated several diners. Yet, the improved ambiance and a warm, welcoming staff have garnered positive responses. Though not universally acclaimed, the restaurant remains a beacon for those craving Filipino cuisine, suggesting potential for improvement and greater culinary excellence in the future.

This restaurant is fantastic! I ordered the Pad Thai and it was cooked to perfection with delicious noodles and sauce. There were plenty of peanuts too! My husband tried the Mami soup and loved it. The waitress provided excellent service. We are already looking forward to our next visit! View all feedback.

What Tony Joris dislikes about Chowsun:
Sad to say under cooked orange chicken. Still pink. BBQ cooked day before. Serve cold. But the service was good. Wished I got the older gentleman’s name. Mike Money warned me about the food being cold it looks like they just buy it from Lotus next-door and heat it up. View all feedback.

We ordered lumpia, kare kare, green curry, sinigang, and turon at this restaurant. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. The only issue was that their website stated they closed at 8 PM, but their door indicated they actually closed at 7:30 PM. Despite this, the staff was gracious and allowed us to stay and eat until we left at 8:30 PM.

5/2023 The place was right next to Lotus (Asian grocery store). Came here to taste Filipino food. They have Thai/Filipino food on their menu. I asked where they were from they said “Thailand”. Then I asked how they knew how to cooked Filipino food. “She said it’s the same”. Hmmmmmm…been to Philippines and have eaten lots of their food. I must say it is not the same. There is similarities but nope!!! Not the same. I should have just ordered Thai food, I’m sure it would have been great! Next time! The 3 star was for the food I ordered. Palabok and Halo-Halo. My palabok noodles was not drain completely so the water settled on the bottom (yeah, I had way better). Now, for the Halo-halo, what the heck!!! It had ice cream on top and some beans on the bottom. Come on!!! it’s like paying for a shaved ice, it was lacking so much ingredients and did not like it at all. I wouldn’t waste money on the Halo-Halo. Nice presentation tho. Sisig- this is not supposed to be sweet. Lacking the real sisig taste. Sorry to be blunt! I just want to be honest. The server and the cook were both very friendly and nice tho.

Unpleasant surprise. Two orders of BBQ (pork chicken) but only 11/2 serving. barely 1/2 stick, may e it a Colorado Pinot thing, but sucks when $15 for what is essentially 2 sticks and rice. never again . taste is good, hence 2 stars.
