My experience at Wonderland was disappointing. The igloos are charming, but that’s the only positive aspect of the evening. We only saw our server twice, and our group had to keep going to the bar to order drinks. The included food took over an hour to arrive and wasn’t sufficient for our group. At $89 per person ($110 with tax and gratuity), I expected a lot more. With a group of 10, we spent $1,100 (not including drinks), and I feel we should have received more than just one pretzel, two small bowls of fries, and a few dips. Overall, it was a poor value and experience.
We made reservations for the outside section and we had a mostly negative experience. I saw online about sitting in an igloo which sounded great but turns out it's 85 bucks a head so we were left in a very cold table instead. Our server was clearly not ready to open as the manager took over for her almost immediately. My drink was fine but my partner ordered a warm drink that was delivered cold twice. At least they refunded it. Also you have to park across the street which is a bit inconvenient. Left as fast as we could.
It was an unusual experience. We had a reservation, yet the restaurant was completely empty on a Friday night. There was only one server who also took on the role of bartender. The next evening, I noticed the restaurant was closed.
Let me start by saying the concept is beautiful. The food was decent, but not my kind of food. The drinks were a bit disappointing; hot chocolate wasn't hot enough and other cocktails were subpar at best. The service could definitely be improved.
The concept of the Igloo is fantastic, but the execution leaves much to be desired. The food was merely average; keep in mind it's more like hors d'oeuvres, so don’t anticipate a substantial dinner. The food had to be retrieved from outside, which was inconvenient. The drinks were disappointing; we waited nearly two hours for a punch, only to send it back. The hot chocolate was more akin to cold chocolate. Overall, the experience could be improved. It’s a lovely idea, but the execution is lacking.
